i'm thinking about getting a pait of CDT CL-5X from tplaya, and i got a couple questions for you guys. . . i need midbass, they are going in the side panel in the back seat, but with my seat back they're almost beside me. are these going to sound good off hu power or do i need an amp? should these be in a sealed box, if so how big? last, give me some opinions on how all of you think they sound.

wtf? hehe, you could be a little more discreet about postwhoring, not just have it hangin' out in the open like that.

to answer the guy's question, at least a few of them, coaxials sound much better off proper amplifier power. When I amped my Bostons I noticed a huge difference in SQ and the overall output.

what about a box?

Most car audio speakers are designed to be used in an infinite baffle setup. So no box is necessary.

well heres what i'm working with. it'll be ok if i just build the front fiberglass, behind the wood goes behind the panel and to the metal. or would it be better if i glassed the back half? http://img54.exs.cx/img54/8217/000_0508.jpg
