so i was reading about bass blockers? whats the downlow on these nifty little thinga-ma-jigs. are they worth buying, do they REALLY improve sound quality, prevent distortion, etc?

they block out the low frequencies, which is good for protecting your speakers

CDT components will come with there own crossovers for the highs, and should be able to reproduce most lows. Doesn't that Eclipse deck have built-in crossovers as well?

it does, i wasnt sure if "bass blockers" were something completely different, i really hadnt bothered looking up any info about them or what they were

yea, bass blockers a more for people who either are using a stocvk head unit and need to get rid of the low frequences or have an older deck that doesnt have cross-overs(like my old alpine, in which i did install them and they did exactly as it was stated for them to do)

all bass blockers are usually is a capactivie crossover.
