has anyone done this, i know you cant easily put subs into seats, because of the mounting depth, and the sub will hit the seat, but, has anyone modded some 6x9s to fit in a seat before ? any feedback'd be great, even if you tried and it didnt work

into the seat? Nope not here. Under seat in custom enclosure? Yep. I finally came to the conclusion that unless you have about 12" clearance, you really cant fit anything good enough to make a notable difference. There are a couple major manufacturer's that do make low profile "slim" speakers, but nothing that's awesome enough to write home to ma. I do recall a couple of years ago of a co. that makes a device specially to go under seats. I don't think it was really a speaker but more of a vibrator of sorts.
