I am planning on running 2 sets of these in my dakota, one in the doors and one in the back.
They will be powered by an MTX 2150x amp(birthsheet shows 212 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms at 12.5 volts), with both right speakers paralleled to right channel, and same for the left side. So each component system should see 106 watts RMS at 12.5 volts.

My question is regarding the Silk and Titanium Tweeters. I was curious if I should order one set with Silk, and one with titanium or would that mess the imaging all up? The crossovers do have -3, 0, and +3db for the tweeters so maybe I would be ok?

Please let me know your opinions on what I should order asap.

IMO i like the metals better but be sure they have the tw-20t. But to be safe u can get the silks and i would recommend u using the cl-62's they better:)

Yeah they are TW-20 tweeters. I can get em for 149.99 a set so you cant beat that.
So you think I should go with the titanium?
Which would handle more power? Silk or titanium?

metal domes are a little brighter and more detailed. great for rap, esp. lill jon stuff that has the great stinging hi hats. that is really the stuff that hurts your ears tho. most people who like metal domes end up turning them down. the silks are just a little bit smoother, most people prefer them for jazz and classical type stuff. nothing wrong with either one. they differences are quite small. however the technologies that are being applied to metal dome tweeters in respect to the cooling and suspension designs is making them a preferred choice among most people. they are a better choice for imaging and detail.

Well I ended up ordering 2 pairs of CL-62's. Do those come with silk or titanium tweets?

Also ordered a pair of CL-1015 Subs, hopefully their subs are good quality also.

sorry pal. but i have heard both, more than you can say. and yes that is some crap off the CDT site. I like the way they explained it and it is true in most aspects.

bottom line 95siAWD, just go down to your local car audio shop, visit some car shows, and go and listen to some stuff. As long as you install your setup properly, you wont be disappointed either way. the differences between each are minimal and honestly it is hard to tell the difference when they are properly installed.

Yeah but the problem is there is 2 stereo shops in my area, one sells audiobahn pg, and boss. Not interested in any of that.

Then the other sells kicker and eclipse, not really into that either.
