I was browsing the magazine rack today and was looking in a technology magazine called wired. To my surprise, Panasonic is developing/releasing a double DIN cd player headunit that has a built in VACUUM TUBE AMPLIFIER!!!!

Its the craziest thing I have ever seen! Check it out!

Its just cool, it looks dope. Tube amps are generally less power output but they have a characteristically warmer sound. Audiophiles love tube amps for some reason. I just think its cool that they stuffed it into a double-DIN formfactor.

although, it would probably still be a better choice to get an external tube amp (like a US Amps), it's still pretty cool...

The US Amps isn't a "true" tube amp. It still has a solid state output section.

I wonder what they are tubing in the Pan HU. Preout section? I assume it doesn't have an internal amp.
