Possibly dumb question about mounting a baffle board.

Okay, I have a little ol BMW piece that does't have very deep holes for mounting speakers. Well, I believe they can mount them up to 2 3/8" deep. Say I wanted a speaker that went deeper, how would I do that? I have heard of people putting them on baffle boards or something similar, but my question is, how would you do that? Thanks in advance.

Hey thanks for the help...and after I made the rings, I guess I would just screw them into the existing speaker screw holes in the car door? Thanks a lot.

yup after u make the rings, screw ring to door and then speaker to ring
