You'd have to take home world championships. You'd have to place in the top tier of your class, in every competition, for multiple years. You'd have to be widely known and respected in the industry. It takes a lot of time, and a lot of skill.

actually not to burst your bubble, but it would never happen. Im friends with about 75% of the guys on Team RF and not a one of them is actually sponsored, they have to pay for every piece of there equipment. Not many companies are sponsoring anymore do the the economy and lack of interest from the public, like spectators.

i'm sure they get the stuff at cost, or at factory pricing though. plus if u were sponsored u'd always be on long road trips, which for a 16 year old ( i am) would not have time for. IMO

you should come down to the Jupiter 3x NOPI db drag in 2 weeks. There is gonna be 3 RF guys there, 2 competing, the other is the designer for the Team RF woofers. Come down and meet them, talk with them.

And sponsorships of any kind come to you, you don't go to them.

I suggest what Mr. Fleming mentioned above ... go talk to the guys at the 3X :) I'm sure they'd be more than glad to speak with you and maybe even give you a couple tips.

I have been in some way or another sponsored by 5 different companies since 2000. Let me tell you something, it is much easier just to pay for the equipment, then put up with them telling you when and where you have to be sometimes. What you can and cant do, what you can and cant say, ect. There is only 1 company that has sponsored me, that gives me equipment, and actually asks for nothing in return. But this is the company that I will do anything for. They are a great bunch of people!

You Need To Run 80 To 90 % Of Fosgate And Win A Bunch Of 1rst Place Trophies In Events Like Db Drag Have To Take 1rst In 3 Big Events And Go To Finals Then They Might Look At You

technically speaking theyre not "sponsored" but they get stuff below cost. and they get their equipment tweaked. how do you think mckinnie runs 18V bd1000's. and he has rockford voltmeters.. when they dont make one...

lol

If you only had a clue....

If im not mistaken the RF 1501d only needs a single chip pulled to run at 18v. Just like the mtx 81000d/1501d. (Yess I've modded a BUNCH of mtx 1501d's) And I GARUNTEE Tommy did that mod himself.

As to his "rockford voltmeters" try fluke rms DMMs.

If you only had a clue...

Also, Shawn does not need you to tell him anything. Shawn has been sponsored longer than I've been in this game - and yes I'm sponsored (lower than competitor rates) as well by two companies.

In the future you'd be best served to think FIRST, and speak later.

It actually isnt too bad - usually.

Mainly if they sponsor you, you get stuff just a hair below dealer cost, you have to be an upstanding individual, represent the industry well, and sell product for the company your sponsored by. Usually there are no contracts either so it's cool.

I had a sponsorship with carsponsorships.com and I would have been able to get things for 60% off or more (most free), but my car audio stuff got stolen, and my car is all screwed up...So thanks alot to whomever stole my stereo...I am out 3K, and lost an amazing sponsorship!

I am guessing that it would also help to have there stuff because i wouldn't want to sponsor someone that has all alpine if i am from fosgate....it just doesn't make sense it is like wiping before you poop just doesn't work.....But still even if you had all their stuff good luck because you have to be the best of the best....SO yeh....
