What are your opinions on it? I listened one at my local CC and the SQ wasnt too bad at all. I ordered it offline for only $159 and it came with a free harness, free installtion kit, and a free dash kit.
I found an ALPINE CDA-9827 CD/MP3 Receiver on ebay for $185, and i was wondering if i should cancell my Pioneer order...? What do you think of the DEH4600?

(BTW, i'm concerned because a car audio enthusiest told me that the DEH4600 is very low end, and breaks easily. He said it ***** because it has NO sub pre out and only 2 preamp outputs with 2volts.)

I have it, It lacks a good EQ on it, but it gets the job done. Id go with a little higher model if you can.

Ok well that's good. Ive heard nothing but GREAT things about this pioneer (besides this car audio freak i talked to).
My head unit should arrive tomorrow, i can't wait.

This guy told me that even if the CD player doesnt have "MP3 playerback capabilities" that it can still play a CD with .mp3 files with like 150 songs. I did NOT believe this, is this true?

Ok that's what i thought all along.
I had this big argument online with this guy that claims hes been doing car audio stuff for years. Telling me that ANY head unit can read MP3 files....shows how much he knows :p:
