-Which speaker would YOU buy from the selection?
-Please recommend me a few speaker brands for 6x9s

I've got some CDT 4" coaxial 2 way speakers if you want them for $28 shipped. They came out of an old isuzu truck that I put them into then built kickpannels for 6.5" speakers a few weeks later. Anyway, they're barely used and never were abused.

It would be better if you got some good quality speakers for your front, then went cheaper on the 6x9. But that's just my opinion.

I went alpine type S 4" for my front and type S 6x9's for the rear and they match up nicely. Now I just got to put an amp to em.

Ok well I think i'll just get the Sonys for $28, the specs look just as good as the more expensive speakers, and the peak power handling is a little bit more.
If it will make a significant difference in the way my sound system sounds if i get a $60-$80 pair of 4" speakers as opposed to cheap ones, then i think i'll go with the more expensive set.
Any opinions?

Go down to your local Best Buy, Circut City or other local dealer and see what they have that you can listen too. See if you think there is a large difference between the cheap and the expensive.

But, FWIW, since your front speakers should be the speakers that you hear (and the rears should only "fill" in the sound for the rear seat passengers), you really want to go with a good quality, good sounding set of speakers for your fronts.
