I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier truck, king cab...there are 2 small foldup kiddie seats in the back, which I removed and construced 2 speaker boxes to fit into that space using 3/4" MDF...

I have the box divided into 2 sections, one of which will hold my Boston Acoustic NX97 6x9 speakers...

The portion of the cabinet that the 6x9 are in is about 10.5 x 7 x 3.5 inches...

Question, should I put any poly filler material in this box...if so do I stuff it full or just some to cover the hard surfaces...

The other portion of the cabinet will hold an 8" sub...and I have some questions on that which I will ask in the sub forum...

thanx
Steve

the purpose of polyfill is to make the box appear larger for the speaker, making it sound a little "deeper" and reducing the power required to get to full excursion...

I've never heard of polyfill for 6x9 enclosures, but I'm sure it can be done...not sure how it would sound though.

Thanx Jack Frost...

My question really is...should or should I not fill the box with poly???
