READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE POSTING

This thread is for everyone to post their db numbers. There is no limit in the number of times you can post in this thread, in fact, we encourage you to post here to let others know how you are doing. Other members can view this thread and see that you hit 145db in your first post, and then look at your latest post which says 146.7db and be able to see what you did differently in order to boost your number a little bit. Do not post two results in one post. One result per post, please. It's less confusing that way.

There will be something different happening in this thread. You will copy and paste the following chart into a new reply each and every time you wish to enter a score in this thread. Posts containing anything other than the list will be promptly deleted.

CHART TO BE COPIED AND PASTED FOR EVERY ENTRY POSTED IN THIS THREAD:

141.6 is not bad for 2 12's. With a little assistance (holding panels/opening doors-windows), you may gain a dB or so.

I had my 4 Runner tested in Sav. Georgia. They told me it was running 149.7 at 50hz. I have a Virtual technology box (Transmission Line box) Loaded with 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2 there are two of them being powered by a MMATS 200HC. The 149.7 does not seem right with what you all are posting, seems to high. This was in the driver's seat the headrest was removed. Is there different kinds of meters out there?

I've never seen SPL measured that way, but I'm somewhat of a newb. Also, it depends on the meter/sensor they used. AudioControl mics tend to be 4-5 dB higher than the TermLab sensor.

I've been to dB Drags (sensor on the passenger side windshield) and USACi (sensor on the passenger side floorbaord) recently which have been on the TermLab sensor.

6 dB is a rather large interval, even if you're running minimal power and a sealed box. 6 dB is a BIG gain, no matter how you look at it.

ummmm.... ok?? is this a contest? are you tryin to make yourself feel good or something... well **** then i give you a pat on your back... 6 decibles behind me!! congrats... But also look at another fact, look whut kind of subs i am runnin.. two audiobahns, like their shittiest model, i got two of them on ebay brand new for 120 shipped to my door, oh and the amp was free.. box costs me 30 bucks, and wiring and fuses costs me another 35.... so hmmm less than 200 dollars and about like 10 hours of my time and i scored a 141.6.... i think thats preaty dam good... if you want to compete i will buy some best buy subs, throw them in a sealed, supply them with a little 200 watt amp.. get tested then if you get a higher number, thats when you start braggin... and also i dont care if you are .3 becibles behind me.. i still am pushin out more dbz than you so you aint got **** to prove.......

10-12db is like doubling the volume to the human hear. 6db you can easily tell the difference. wantsumbump...the Hifonics 1500BX will really "kick your system up a notch." Look on ebay for some better subs, I got two 1208Ts, a cheater "sony" amp and a box plus wiring for 359 shipped! Did you build your own box? 6.5 is a big box with plenty of upgrading room!

All in one day.

(go figure) I then drove 2hrs to gainesville to compete at a local show. Did the 155.8 on the classic TL and was loudest of show. Came back to slamfest on sunday to pick up my 1st place trophy - I won by over 9dB!

Pretty sure it's louder now, have to wait until I get on the AudioControl, but it is louder now, and the 151.6 was a mic ****-up I think. It's consistent 151s now though. Hopefully around a 47 on the TL sensor.

Car off for dBDrag, so it would be running off his battery. Stock alternator not great for recharging in between runs, though. I think I'll be able to give Jason's number a run for its money once I get a battery/possibly another amp.
