DBfan helped me hammer this out, but i wanted to see what the rest of you thought before i begin construction.

using 3/4 MDF

external = 18H x 26W x 14D
internal = 16.5H x 24.5W x 12.5D

Port is 22.14", 16.5H x 2W - 33sq. in. of port


Total usable is 2.924^3

Ok, you have:

internal = 16.5H x 24.5W x 12.5D
Port is 22.14", 16.5H x 2W - 33sq. in. of port

gives you 2.92cu'

the port takes up.

(22.14 -.75 (subtract .75 for front of box)) x 16.5 x (2 + .75 (add .75 for inner port wall)) / 1728 = .56

2.92 - .56 = 2.36cu' usable space...and you still need sub displacement.

To tune this box (w/o sub displacement) to 34Hz that port would only need to be 3.6" long.

dbfan, i aint bashin or nothin but if ya dont know what your talkin about plz dont give some1 advice...i was about to build the box to the specs u gave.......glad i didnt.....again i aint bashin cuz i know i dont know **** about tuning
