Hacking the back wall of the cab and the front of the bed with a Saws-All is kinda permanent. It's like bagging the suspension... you no longer have a useful truck, so the market for selling it afterwards becomes limited to those people who appreciate that sorta thing. Do it with style and skill and you'll be OK... hack it and nobody will want it.

very true your trade in value will be next to nothin but s10 are not worth anything any way and the market isn't really large for a butchered ride 9 times out of 10 you just leave the system in or at least the box but you build the box to the size you need it and then cut the hole in the cab and bed to fit most here is one of the nicer ones i've seen http://www.s10forum.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album275
my box is 8 cuft so i don't have any other option big bass in a truck comes with a price
