Started on my new project. I previously did a quick system for the competition with two 12" ct stratos and a sonido mask zx-2000 amp. Did a 147.3 at 44hz with only about 5 minutes of testing. So I pulled everything out and now I'm starting my new one which includes two 12" sundown zv4's and two sundown saz-3500v2 amps. Painted the port black and used bondo for the box. I should of never used bondo though. It's way too much work to sand down. It's also my first time using bondo too. I'm going to paint the box the same color as the dust caps.

Finished! Holy buck batman though it's very loud compared to all my previous systems. If my stratos did a 147.3 which sounded quiet compared to this system then with my ear-o-meter, I say maybe a 152 now. It hurts my chest and ears.

Heard clanking noises coming from my back window. Took a look at it and it all came apart. Broke some welds and the seals broke off too.

Yeah, also have 4 runs of knu 0 gauge wire and 3 d3100 batteries along with a dc power 270xp alt. That was at idle though. If I was revving or driving, it would of sat much higher.

Had hdc3's before the hdc4's and the stratos were just temporary. lol

Oh yeah, I blew one of the zv4 subs within 10 seconds of use. It was pretty weird. The whole coil unwound itself from the former. I've seen small parts unwound before but never the whole coil. Anyways, I got one sub playing with the other side covered with a piece of wood. So its playing in an over sized enclosure for single 12" along with a single saz-3500 without any issues. Makes me wonder.

The hdc4's were really nice subs. Can't go wrong with either or but I do like the way my zv4's sound a lot better than the hdc4's.

Depends on which one you're talking about. I had them in a lot of boxes and different vehicles too. lol

I'd guess the V4 coils are NOT made in USA as previous versions have been.

Other sub is still playing strong without any issues. Well, my port is adjustable so Ive been playing with the tuning. I have it at around 34-35 right now.
