I was wondering if anyone has run or heard the Orion XTR3700.1d amp? I have made my mind up I will be purchasing an FI-SP4 around end of May, early June. Initially I am going to run the SP4 off of a Hifonics Brutus BRX 2400.1d I understand that the SP4 can handle up to 3.5k. I had an Orion XTR PRO set up and it was pretty nice, so I figured I would go back give the Orion XTR series another shot. What are your thoughts?

I have the Orion XTR2200.1d, which is its little brother and it is one of the better purchases I have made in car audio. Very efficient and does more than rated. I clamped it at 2059 watts @1.67 ohms @12.8 volts. Wish I'd bought the bigger one off the jump. Google the PASmag review, they loved it.

Solid amp not my first choice but solid none the less. Are you open to other amps ?? If so what about a sound qubed sq3500 it's about the same money and is built like a tank does way more than rated and have yet to here of someone regretting buying one. Or an American bass 200.1 is a helluva amp same or less money as the xtr and IMHO much beefier

You can get the XTR 3700 (which pasmag tested to do 4090 watts @14.4v and only 1% thd) at onlinecarstereo.com for $599 SHIPPED. (Orion XTR3700.1D 7400W MAX Monoblock Class D XTR Series Car Audio Amplifier * at Onlinecarstereo.com (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_36118_Orion_XTR37001D.aspx?utm_source=google_sho pping&utm_medium=Product_Feed&utm_campaign=google_shopping_Price_Comparison&gclid=CPyfkLeUzb0CFUNqOgodaEkAiw)

Unless you catch it on sale, the Soundqubed Q1-3500d.1 only does 200 or so watts more but costs an extra $200. Those extra 200 watts better be magic because they cost a $1 each!! Q1-3500D.1 Amplifier (http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-3500D1-Amplifier_p_32.html)

Use the extra $200 to get a Duracell G31 agm battery from Sam's Club (rebadged DEKA) which has 110Ah for $179.
Duracell® AGM Deep Cycle Marine and RV Battery - Group Size 31 - Sam's Club (http://www.samsclub.com/sams/duracell-agm-deep-cycle-marine-and-rv-battery-group-size-31dtmagm/prod3590232.ip)
Just MHO. Good luck!!
