Where will you be installing the speakers? Kick panels? Some other non-factory location?

factory locations. Dash and soundbar. I have 6x9's in kicks which I will probably rebuild to house (2) 6.5's or a single 8. I have a jbl power series 5.25 comp set in the dash at the moment.

components are going to give you more output than coaxes, I'll just say that.

The dash locations are terrible. I personally would not spend any more money on speakers to fit there as the set you have is good. If you just want it to blast loud and you don't care about it sounding accurate I'd look into some add-on pods. You can get one to hang off the top between the visors, and I've seen a set of pods that go alongside the back seat in the rear corners.

My set up ....very loud bright sound ...most people find it uncomfortable at full tilt.
PPI phantom 900.4 running 2 sets of infinity kappa 5.25 on half of the amp and 2 sets of infinity kappa 6.5's on the other half. VERY VERY loud clean bright set up I had to damp the shizz out of the doors and stack the drivers out a lil but good god its loud.
kappa 5.25's = 75.00 a pair
kappa 6.5's = 76.00 a pair
ppi phantom 900.4 = 165.00 free shipping on amazon
I started out with 4 kappa 6.5's 1 on each channel and that was very loud and bright too. Although the kappas are not really an sq speaker they are very crisp, clean and bright if you listen to rock/techno etc they perform very well. And as far as the amp that lil ppi 900.4 is amazing for the price... VERY powerful, very small, very clean sound you just cannot get that kind of rated power for any cheaper. Also the xovers are great you have the ability to do band pass for an active set up as well as a 10x switch on both freq knobs..Excellent amp I like it so much that after my first one got jacked by some some son of a meth Whor I bought 2 more for my new setup.
