I need a high output alternator for a 2005 Grand Prix 3.8L v6. 220+ amps, nothing less. I am looking to buy as soon as possible, right now would be awesome. Let me know what you have, and what you are asking.

Thanks!

Have you tried companies such as Mechman or Singer?

I'm the singer rep here. I can have one built. Prolly 2-3 weeks before you'd get it tho. But I can check on the time and how big

Sounds perfect. I'm not in any rush, so if you could let me know size options as well as prices and output at idle, I'd greatly appreciate it! And thanks for the quick reply lol

u will be happy. i got my mechman 240a for 400 and it is junk and there customer service *****. i own a car audio buisness and would never recommend mechman to any of my customers after teh experience i have had. on the other hand singer is the exact opposite. very timely returns to my questions and way better product. some people swear by mechman but i have yet to experience why they do

well it looks like everyone suggests I go with you, only heard good stuff about Singer so I'll give it a go. its a little more expensive than I thought so I'll probably need a week or so to get my money in order. the only questions that I have are:

1. what can I expect in the idle amps of the 220 and 250? (I'm stuck between these two)
2. this stock alternator for this car is weird, its a Bosch. not a delco. will that be an issue?
3. will it be a direct fit? no modifications, etc?

I appreciate the info, feel free to pm me about this and/or payment information also.

thanks!

You could see everything in their site FitzAll (http://powerbastards.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Fitzall%2D220). It's from a VW but they are all the same.

I tried power bastards first and thought about mechman tell it took 2weeks to answer a simple questions. Mike singer all the way. Will never buy from anyone but him. Got 2 buddies running singer alts in Memphis. Never heard of one non user related problem with a singer alt.
