need help calculating box size

im lookin to build a ported box for an SX15 and was wonderin how many cubes i would have if the dimensions are 30x20x12 and what should the port be tuned to

4.16 cuft provided those are internal dimensions. As for tuning I don't really know. I'm not too familiar with your sub.

someone else on this forum has his SX tuned to 32 hrtz but i dont know if that is hi scomp or daily driving plug

32 hz would be daily driving . it's usually a good starting point. My hx2's are tuned to 32hz for daily driving. Don't compete anymore I'm too old :D :)

Just so you know

L X W X H (use internal numbers to account for wood thickness)

Then you divide that by 1728 (which is 1 cubic foot)

And you get the Vol of the box in cubic feet
