I was thinking that I should upgrade to a double din touch screen head unit. However now that I think more about it, I am not sure if I will need one based on my needs which are as follows:

Bluetooth
MP3s from USB
Very easy to navigate quickly with easy to read display

I DO NOT need GPS
I DO NOT need the ability to watch video

What I do value of double-din touch screen head units is that they are generally easy to read and navigate quickly, which is a huge benefit whiles driving.

So what do you think - should I just get a good single-din instead? Any suggestions under $200?

I absolutely love my pioneer double din. If you have an iPhone or certain android phones pioneer has advance app radio which adds all kinds of cool features. And as far as being able to navigate they are soooo much easier than a single din and easier to read.

Do you have the appradio 2 or appradio 3 or something else? crutchfield has a pretty good deal on the appradio2 right now.
