first off this is for a friend and i just whipped up this box for him and itll be for a hdc3 15 running off either a 1000 watt kicker or 1200 watt audioque. i looking at 35-36 hz, around 4.05 cbft. port length 23.75 x 4.5 Wx 14.5H, 26542626

with that volume, port width and height tuned to 35 hz i'm getting port length should be 28.8 inches

My woofer is installed like the most width section of the box. It is big so that it will take more space. thickness of box is 3/4 of the width and length you can make according to the space where you want to put it.

I would do the sub cut out to the far right, so 1/2 of the rear wave isn't hitting the back port wall.

right on so make the sub cut out farthest from the port as possible. other then that its all good to go?
