Just bought a 15" Dayton ultimax. No need for this anymore. I originally thought something was wrong with the sub... gave me a reason to get the dayton, and a bigger box, but there is not. My hatch just rattles way too much. I ordered a new box terminal for it.(long story) Anyways, can be wired to 1 or 4 ohm. 600w. Really really accurate. Gets pretty low.

Specs are here: http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u14/krisfnbs/Car%20Audio-%20SELLING/photo_zpsbb3ba9f1.jpg

Right now it is in a 15" sealed box. Here are the box dimensions:

Width: 22" Height: 14-1/2"
Depth One: 12-3/4"
Cutout Diameter: 13-3/4"
Depth Two: 15-3/4"
Box Volume: 2.2

Overall condition of the sub is 10/10 function, 8.5/10 physical. The sub itself is in excellent shape, the plastic ring that covers the screws is in a little rough shape. No dents on the dustcap or anything. I would rather a local pickup near silver spring MD area, or Frederick MD area.(My work and home locations)

This combo sells for $250 new put together, Looking for $150+ ship or $150 picked up. OBO. It's currently sitting at my job next to my desk. I ship things all day for work. Shipping will not be a problem. I can get this thing shipped same day/next day once payment is received.

Good luck with that ultimax, build quality is **** and if you read the reviews on parts express, you will see how many of their spider landings have come loose and fucked and the triple joint uses epoxy instead of ca glue. I would return it if I were you.

Its quite fine for me. If it does have issues thats what a warranty is for. It sounds great so far.

Are you willing to sell just the sub? And if you are, how much shipped to 14513?

would rather sell it with the box, I have no use for the box. If it doesnt sell after a while I will part out the sub. Though the box it sounds in is just a little bit bigger than spec. Sounds amazing.

Dont really care to be honest. I have been a member dating back to 2006, and have sold/bought from more than 50-100 people on this forum over time.... before the feedback rating system was integrated into this forum. Search my name... you will find feedback threads.

Its awesome....it really is. Probably the best woofer I have ever owned to date. Best looking, best sounding by far. For $170~ new you cant do much better for a quality sub that you want to run sealed and take alot of power. Hopefully mine wont have issues as the previous guy mentioned in this thread down the road... though I have never had any issues with any of the Dayton products I have owned over the years.

i had one of these in a stratus on about 800wrms, and it made the steering wheel move. the neon is a step down in size, should do just fine. had a 15inch rf in my neon on only 250wrms, hurt my feelings with that one. glws.

Wonder how this would work in a 4th order. Do you have the T/S parameters?

off topic but does that Dayton sub get pretty low in that 4 cube sealed box? Does it get decently loud?

krisfnbz
05-09-2013, 02:05 PM
yeah it gets pretty low... for being sealed at least. I like the volume. Im pushing 600w with it currently and its the exact volume I would want. not too quiet... not too loud. clean too.

one more thing....how would you compare the Dayton vs. MB Quart sub as far as lowness/loudness?

krisfnbz
05-13-2013, 04:01 PM
Well I had the Quart in a smaller box.. and both of them were sealed. Dayton no doubt is a louder sub. But its not by too much. It did give me the slightly higher volume I was looking for....and also was in a larger box too. I a am overall quite impressed with both subs. I like the look of the Dayton more, but the Quart looked fine. Performance wise I think the dayton gets a little lower, and it is a louder sub. Though size of enclosure and power have more to do with that.

thanks for the info man. May check out one of those Daytons for a future build.

Bump for the MB Quart sub!
