I'm in the market for some 6.5 component speakers, but since the CDT's that are on back order what can I get thats better or at least the same. I wasn't looking to spend over $180 for the components and about $60 or so for the 6.5 speakers in the back. I was looking at the MB Quarts but the back 6.5's are like 100 or more. Could you guys help me out I was trying to have my system installed this up coming Saturday so I need to get a more on things.
Thanks in advance

I bought some RCE216 MBquarts this week for 175 shipped on ebay. These are 6.5" component speakers. So if you do not want to spend more than 180 this might fit. But might want to hear MBquarts before you buy them. Seems many don't like em.

crystal speakers r pretty good. they have them on sounddomain for a really good price now.
there's something wrong with their site, but they are still on business, i saw their new ad for their new products.
Selling my CDT CL-61's because I want to upgrade to the 62's, or my own custom 3 way system... Let me know if you're interested.

^^the 62 model looks like a great idea! ...especially if you let me buy your old pair! (email sent)
Anyone know the difference between cl-61 and cl-61a? I went to http://www.cdtaudio.com/classic2000MidDriv.htm and still can't figure it out.
Not to *****, but I need help deciding on Alpine Type S, Type R, or CDT audio CL-61a. I'm still considering the S because of it's better sensitivity of 90 on component model and 92 on coaxial model. Also it plays 5 hz lower than the R. Think i would notice 5hz and a couple db's sensitivity? ;)
theZeb.com has the 61a for $149 and supposedly free shipping, and Alpine stuff either off ebay or ikesound.com.
everyones .02 cents welcome.

i was looking at the 61 and the CL-641's but i wasn't sure if it was worth spending the extra $100 for the 3-way or is the difference not enough to notice? comments?
