Send it all to me...

But maybe a raffle so it would be random. Just have a 100 post requirement or something similar to be eligible to enter. Or maybe ask for everyone to write about what they would do of they won and the best submissions won.

Since you're a mod of this vend section, why not have users who've been here and attempted to provide insight be put into a random caraudio.com post here on how would you use it giveaway... That way you know it will go to someone who has some experience rather than some tom, dyck, or random ralph. Ask them to do a honest review and back your product dependant upon their thoughts? My .02

SKAR ftw! Oh wait, wrong section. Also like how David accidentally liked the OP instead of disliking.

Geoff, just have a person/couple of people agree to do a review of the products. That will not only get your name out, it will also garner real world feedback from third parties. If some critical people like them more than what they currently run, their word of mouth would be the best advertisement money can't buy.

I agree with this. Something constructive rather than random. av83 ; already showed how effective a good review can be, especially for a product that has little to no exposure here aside from yours and BnR's experience. Hell, if it weren't for the giant JBL MS comps thread on DIYMA, I'd probably still be looking for components. The lengths they went into describing the ins and outs of those drivers and tweets pretty much sealed the deal for me.

And who doesn't like free publicity anyway? Could be interesting to see what PHD would be willing to do for that as well so the burden isn't entirely on Geoff's shoulders.

I like the need/use idea and it helps the people wanting to build a better system. Its a much better idea than the System of the Month idea on SMD where people vote on how nice someones system already is then they receive products that are usually crappier than what they have and most likely wont run

I think a few pairs of your mid line coax's to up the amount of prizes, But maybe a pair or 2 of decent comps and maybe a grand prize of a nice comp set and amp combo. I like the idea of a raffle cause it will most likely cover the shipping for you to send out to the winners, but giving your grand prize to _xXTrollofthedayXx_ who signed up 4 hours ago wont benefit your business anyway shape or form. If you do a giveaway post count/ and or time should matter to a point unless you seen someone prove worthiness otherwise but thats just my .02

Was that a stab at Showtek?

Seriously, though, I admire the thought of a buy-in, but that's kinda why I was wondering if PHD themselves could endorse the giveaway for the sake of publicity and pick up the tab. They're still not very well known stateside outside of the competition circuit and, even then, pretty few and far between. Just a thought...

I think it should have a higher post count requirement than 100. I think it should be like 500. Just sayin.

i was literally going to say the same thing. anyone can get to 300 or so. but once you get to 500 i would think you would have been on this forum for quite some time now.

well heres the problem, the people who have the knowledge and experience to give a proper review(not me) dont "need" the free set, and the people who "need" them, dont have the experience to accurately review them. I say give a set to keep_hope_alive or one of our other various knowledgeable and experienced members and then another set to a random Active and Participating forum member

I actually had basically the exact same thing typed about being able to get up to a few hundred posts but my phone was retarded and decided to refresh and it was gone and didn't feel like retyping it. Lol its stupid when someone wins with like 3 posts. And all 3 of those were in THAT thread.

Because there's a buy-in involved. Kinda like a bet if you will. A lot of companies can't do this because it puts pressure on the winner to favorably review the product they win. In the case of a giveaway, even if the product was absolute garbage (not saying PHD is, I know better than that), the reviewer is at his own liberty to speak honestly.

If this is ever possible I think a post count of 1k or higher should be required not 100 or 500.
