why cant we post in the thread?

Well, now that I think about it, it doesn't matter.. good point.
Didn't want people posting in here because I'd like to have this thread dedicated to the build..
But what'evs

It's ok to post in this thread FYI.

If someone asks not to post in a thread... why would someone post anyway..?

I don't have any equipment at the moment, everything just shipped yesterday. Will post pics when everything's here.

Pics of Margaret are posted.

S'all good. For $500 I'd say it's **** good. When I'm done I'll have more money in Equipment than the car itself.

'Tis why its a beater and not my DD. Just about any car that's 5+years old has rust on it, at least in Michigan.
Maybe my 8's will rattle some rust off?:up2somet:

These are sitting in the computer room.. making my old t1 look bad.

Tried building a box, home depot fuc*ed my cuts up twice.. needless to say I got my $ back.
Wasted a quite a bit of time.... Most likely having box built by Star Mountain, heard many good things about Brian's boxes.

He got it for 100 bucks with warranty. Even if it's total crap, it'll fit the bill for this install.

I'm sure he'll appreciate it. He showed me the sale link on Newegg. They're practically giving those things away.

4-Gauge wiring from Vertex just got here. Wont be able to get anything done with Margaret as my dad's been borrowing it to drive to work. Got a spot cleared in my brother's garage for my Grand Prix to park for the remainder of winter. Going to employ him to help me put together the system
that's going in it. Yay waiting.. double 07 is finishing up the box for my 8's, its coming together nicely. More updates ahead!

This is the best 4-Gauge wire I've ever bought.
Andrew at Vertex Audio was kind enough to upgrade me to a spool for free.

I didn't upgrade my climate control.. That's standard, I may upgrade to a '01-'03 climate control (for the Grand Prix). Been reading on how they're less glitch-y. Some times I start my car and the fan's blasting, even though the display says its off.

Got some sh*t done!

Good choice on the bullet connectors. Hopefully yours are of better quality than mine. Got 'em at Fry's and they're a PITA to separate once connected. At least I know they're not coming loose lol.

And could have sworn that was a replacement climate control. You got me there.

Trust me, I was Lol'ing at it when I was piecing it together. I knew you'd have something to say about it, but I will carpet it. (With same color carpet as what's in the trunk.) It is far from master craftsmanship, but it gits-er-dun. I should have taken more pics today, but I had my mind focused on getting **** installed. I'll double back and snap some pics while I'm tuning tomorrow. Thanks for your support.

EDIT: and you'll lol at how I secured my Remote Bass-Knob Wire.. and where it's going to live. XD

Can't wait. The reason I'm lol-ing is because I can only imagine you getting pissed off about those ring terminals, punching a hole in a door or something, and using the wood from that to make the rack. It'll look great when all is said and done. Looks great already.

Close, I kicked a panel that was laying in the garage, it split, almost perfectly in half.. Decided to use it because it's just big enough to work..
Thankfully it wasn't an important panel, just spare wood waiting to be purposed. Lol'ing started when I picked up those 1"x1"s and took the amp out to arrange the "rack."
