ive seen them clamped first hand. the numbers i seen were 1 ohm did 2190+ on 12v and wire to .5 did 2492 on 12v i cant remember what the rise was to

2440 VA - not watts... he's just multiplying the voltage times amperage.
Without knowing the power factor, you can't calculate the actual wattage.
