View Full Version : 250 for speakers...what should i get?

its my birthday today and my parents are givin me about 250 for speakers....i got a 15" RE XXX and a hifonics 1500d in my 1997 dodge ram 1500...its got the infinity system so i need to get a pair of component sets...what should i get thats good for the money and great for the sound and will not be drowned out by the sub i got like my stock speakers are


all help is greatly appreciated

You should be able to find a set of CDT-CL62's for $250 or so if you look hard enough. They are rated at 150w RMS and should keep up with the XXX nicely. I personally run the CL-61's, and I do not know if they will keep up (mine are 80w RMS). But if you try one of those, you will find out :)

Turn down the bass if the subwoofer is drowning out the mains...

What size are you looking for? Where will they be placed? How much power will you be sending them?

The Stereo Integrity 302's ring a bell ... for a mere $270.

i dont want to turn down the woofer...my speakers are **** the guy before me messed em up so i need new ones...
