I need to deaden up my rear doors cause now that I made a new box the entire door is flexing on the lows and it completely ruins the experience for anything below 30hz. I also removed all the factory "deadener" (aka asphalt) from the back and cleaned it all up so it's ready for some real deadener.

I can do one door in your product in one door and a competitors deadener in the other and show the results. Should be fun!

Need to deaden the entire cabin on my car. Doors, roof, floor, etc. My goal is to not only block out road noise and rattles, but also cut down on what other people hear outside of the car.

Lets see here, I've got some doors to deaden in my 2012 tC still, as well as the floor. Which will be getting a serious audio upgrade in the spring all around, a performance and sound build, hopin to debut the final product in may at Carlisle, PA.

I've already used 50sq ft of AT, in my trunk and Front Doors... I need another 50-75Sq ft to finish up the rear doors, Rear Lid, Back Seat Area and the rest of the Trunk. Under the Dash/ Will also be going on the inside of the bumper between the styrofoam and plastic.. Would do a full Log of install and write up and video of difference with the rest of the car done with AT... Video of Vibration and Noise pre and post install.. along with road noise pre and post.. Depending on what is left I will also start doing the pillars and roof..

This would be going in a 2007 Chevy Impala LT...

I am totally in on this as well please. I LOVE your 0awg wiring. This would be used to work on the interior of my 09 Fusion. Ive only done the trunk and really need to do the doors and such. I of course will report back (wherever you want the review) with my thoughts and how it worked for install / doing its job.

thanks for the great give-aways.

10-20-2012, 09:20 PM
If i got it i would throw a few squares on my roof to help with the noise from the sunroof and then use some in my doors to help with road noise. Stupid aluminum doors.

What ever is left over would go in the trunk on the floor to eliminate as much exhaust noise as possible.

Also this way i can rip out the home depot peal and seal BS and have some real sound deadning.

Any deadener that I win would go in my 2008 Dodge Avenger. Currently, only half of my trunk is deadened with Alpha Damp (would really like to switch to Audio Technix). I need to deaden everything in my car. This past season, I was crowned Trunk 1 Champion in the Team Northeast SPL league. I know more deadener will help raise my score. I did a 148.9 twice at finals (sealed on the dash). My main goal is a 150+ and it will happen this next season! I will rep your company.to the fullest! Any deadener you wish to donate to my cause would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Coleman!

I already have 10 sq ft. of 60 mil audiotechnix in the trunk lid of my 2012 kia forte, i would finish doing the inside of the trunk and rear quarters, the insides of the doors and the roof. I get a ton of rear window roof flex that i would love to dampen. Thanks

I would deaden the trunk, roof, and doors of my honda civic because my car sounds like **** right now! the trunk rattle is hoooooorrible. This would be awesome because I'm a broke azz college student and barely have money for audio equipment. Also I have never had the chance to mess with deadener, so it'd be a great oppurtunity to further my car audio knowledge. I would gladly write a review and recommend your product to my friends! Finally, I have terrible luck so it'd be cool if I won something for once lol.

I'm always good for a review. This will be installed in my grand prix in addition to the 8sq ft of the old 80mil already installed in my trunk and rear deck, this would be for my doors and a little added to the deadener already installed in the trunk in preparation for the upcoming MECA SPL comp season.

Redoing my whole newly made roof in the Highlander. Kept breaking my roof braces before so i decided to make a solid roof. Used alot of brackets and a few posts to keep it from sagging over time.

8 15s tends to break ****. Hoping the deadener will make the roof look better and help with vibration as well.

Count me in! I'm doing a review as we speak!

Basically did 20sqft so far and the car needs a lot more. It is a completely gutted 92 civic hatch with a full exhaust so it is has TONS of road noise and exhaust drone. There is no option of running a sub stage because of the noise so we want to cover the inner panels and inner door panels to keep noise out.

LetThatBassDrop
10-20-2012, 09:34 PM
I'm in! I have absolutely no deadening. And when you have two 18's, you kind of need some. If i won the 40sq ft i would do my roof, hatch and if any left over, my doors. Thank you guys for the this awesome chance to win!

Ferrariowner123
10-20-2012, 09:39 PM
If i were to win, i would be using the deadener to get the crazy bad rattle in my Pathfinder caused by my woofer.

If i had any left over, i would like to do the doors, and part of the wheel wells, when it rains it sounds like its raining inside my car due to that lack of insulation.

Plus, this would give me a chance to see if i like this stuff, right now, deadening is out the bottom of my mod list, but my buddy with an e30, and a few other friends, want to see how it behaves, if it does a great job, there will be many more orders for audio technix.

Thanks, here is hoping.

I would use it in my 1970 Chevelle SS. The car is too loud to hear music, and rattles the ish out of the panels. I know it isn't so much of a car audio project, but I think if it worked well, you could use my review to market to more muscle car enthusiasts. ;-)

Hey coleman, this is Jason from FB. Anyways, I'd use the 60/80 mill to farther deaden my lancer. The 40 sq foot I used beforehand I loved it and it worked very well. The tips you told me of the spray foam worked wonderfully, and I'd like to do my doors/floor in my car now. I'd really put this to use. Goodluck everyone! I hope the winners of the deadener put it to good use!

I have 2002 honda civic 4 door, I have my doors semi deadened but will remove the sheet metal casing and do the very inside of my doors, pull my interior and rewire my wires throughout car to back, as well as deaden the entire interior, and also my trunk, except my trunk lid which is done enough thus far! Btw, you would be helping out a engineer student in dire need of handouts due to low funds! Thankyou for this offer AT!

If I win I plan to use this on my 8yr old daughters competition car. Thats right I said 8 yrs old. She competes in midwestspl and uses a cavalier. Ran out of the old style audiotechnix deadener, and still have some major rattles to fix on my Cherokee. Gotta finish up the hatch, quarter panels in the back and my 2 rear doors, possibly even the floor if it'd help any, anything would be a great help. I'm doing a major upgrade so the existing rattles are only gonna get worse without some new stuff. Anything left over from the cherokee is gonna be thrown in my camry so i can get a build started on that as well. Audiotechnix has been badasss so far so i'd like to stick with it.

If I won, I'd put this toward the roof, and doors if any is left over. 2 12s on 300 rms a piece, all stock electrical minus the big 3 done in ofc, Audiotechnix that is. It may not be anything compared to what the other people are doing, but a lot of time, work, and thought process is going into it in order to make a demo machine. The deadner would be perfect helping to solve the rattling and give a overall better sound when demoing. And if given the prize, a written review is easily doable and would be posted.

Hi Coleman!

I bought 25 sq ft. of your old 60 mil, and and covered my doors, my trunk lid, and my brothers trunk lid. It would have gone a lot farther, but I wasn't entirely familiar with how deadener worked, at the time, and did nearly 100% coverage. Here's a pic of what I did with my doors....

I wish I could say what the before and after effects were, regarding how well my components sound, but I installed my first set of component speakers while deadening. However, I did have a sub-stage installed by that time, and there was noticeably less vibration of the trunk lid while playing music. My next project will be deadening my roof, rear deck, and rear quarter panels, as they all vibrate horribly and loudly, and ruin the enjoyment of my music at high volume. But, I will admit... Murder Mat's good reviews, and Knukonceptz solid reputation, have had me considering going with them. This doesn't mean that AudioTechnix wasn't at the top of the list, though ;)

Summing this up, I want to say that you will be getting a good deal of recognition with this in my car. I have plenty of friends and family that love mobile audio, and come to me for advice, recommendations, and installation needs. You already get recommended, but by helping me treat my current problem areas, these people will see and (most importantly) hear, for themselves, the difference made by your product. My Caraudio.com review will include a written opinion, pics of install, and before/after video of the problem areas I mentioned.

Thank you for your consideration!

Oh, yeah... one last thing. What kind of decals do you have, and what sizes do they come in? I'm interested in purchasing one.

count me in, i would use this to help get my install going in my 85 gmc k1500, theres a whole lot of resonate panels in it that will really need to be deadened, planned on working on some custom kick panels and door pods in the next couple weeks and eventually wanting to do a blow thru with 2 or 4 12's this could really help out here. thanks for the chance at this. audiotechnix ftw

As for me I plan on finishing off my Stock 0-600 build that 'should' be doing a 155 with two Tantric 10"s for Bassbattles Finals come January. This is the car I said I wasn't going to touch when I got it, but we all know how that goes. Already have 50sqft + of AT in the car already.

10-20-2012, 11:12 PM
If I were to win I would probably focus on doing another layer on each front door as well as applying a layer to the rear doors of my 08 Impala. Depending on how much I received I may also do some more layers of AT in the trunk(in addition to the layers of AT already in there) and possibly some on the floor boards of my car. Trying to quiet my ride down a bit and sooth some of those rattles and buzzes.

I was lucky enough to receive some deadener in a GIVEAWAY I entered recently so I think it would be unfair to enter, but I have to say It's great
to see another company who also has a good reputation give other people have a chance to try AT. Wish everyone who enters the best of luck.

Please count me in for some lovely AT deadener :-)

I will be inheriting an old Mazda 626 in just over a week from my great uncle, who really is a GREAT (person), and my great uncle, who will no longer be with us for long due to esophageal cancer :-(. I have to fly down to Iowa or drive with someone else in one car to pick it up and drive it back.

If I am lucky enough to obtain some deadener in this giveaway, I will utilizing it in this build which will be essentially dedicated to the memory of my great uncle who is the only one who enjoyed with me what I would do and encouraged it even. It was great having him at shows too, lol, over 70 years old and enjoying the heck out of big builds. Where every other member of my (HUGE) family lol, those of which would positively scold me terribly for my "so incredibly stupid, and loud, and expensive waste of money Ron." Lol, during the holidays we would leave everyone and go on "music cruises," as we called them. It is great having an uncle who is over 70 years old, and tells me to keep going and building louder and louder with a different vehicle one day because a trunk wall or full wall is not possible in my DD. Thinking we've "maxed out" a basic trunk build in my DD. So while visiting him in Hospice three weeks ago, he told me that he wanted to give me his uber prized and well taken care of Mazda 626 that he's had for a very long time. Telling me to do everything I want to do with it, he knows how far into forced induction I am as well as mobile audio, so we decided that the extra several hundred pounds that will be added via woofers and batteries, must be made up for, so airbags and forced induction has to be done, hehe, telling me "because fast and loud two ways is **** to the girls Ronny!" Lol, such a funny great guy, proceeding to state "oh, not to worry son!" The family already knows that you may do anything and everything to it lol. Being that him and I are both electrical engineers and physicists, well, one more semester for me :s, we had a connection to begin with and it only grew stronger, where we both appreciated the dynamics of acoustics and this hobby in its entirety.

First step, is to make the tin can Mazda into a heavy deadened THUD of a door closing vehicle! :)
Perhaps two rolls of AT cable is a good idea too... :)

I would be putting it in my 16 yr old sons car. It's a Scion xA and seriously needs some deadening before we go any farther. As of now he's rockin entry level equipment but we've(I've) been looking at some serious upgrades. We're not trying to compete or anything, just gonna shoot for "that kid in the little black car with the ****** system" notoriety. And with his low level of income, i.e. sponging off me, free deadener would be sweet.

Will post multiple pics of said deadener install along with a review once the sub/amps/component upgrades happen.

Help me please, it's either food for my family or deadener for my truck, my kids are gunna starve.

Very well, to start off, I will regret using any other product except audio technix!!!! I have just recently tried some off brand deadener to deaden my trunk!!!!!, let me tell you...... The stuff was horrible, it was made out of tar, and it would not stick in this florida heat!!!!!, I stood there ripping it off and had to clean all the residue, so hereby I am trying to get some Audio technix!!!!! My setup is a PSI Platform 12" on a SAZ2k, very loud and super flex haha, just finally wishing for some audio technix 60 or 80mil, thanks guys, btw ive seen reelfish92 mark jenkins deadener in person, good stuff. I am just trying to deaden my trunk so I can have a nice smooth loading area, as well as deadening it

After that it will go in my quarter panels and roof. I look forward to trying your product. Will write a review and try to take before and after vids (I just have a droid for that so it may not be perfect). Thanks for the opportunity.

Count me in. I would love to get a chance to use this on the doors of my Jetta. I was able to get my hands on some AT last time I was deadening the doors on my Jeep, and it was a night and day difference from the FatMat I was using. I would be more than happy to do a step by step installation guide, and before and after video as well. I think I still have some leftover FatMat, so I could do a comparision, with AT on one side, and FatMat on the other.

Hmmm where to start. I could use as much deadener as possible! Right now I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer with 2 12 inch MTX road thunder subs, in a big 3.25 cubic foot sealed box, and have an r500.1 wired at 2 ohms running them. They shake everything! I'm building a box and am going to put in 2 Alpine type S subwoofers, in a ported box, with a 1500w hifonics amp. The 2 12s shake the roof and the hatch, the 15s are gonna shake everything! I would mostly use the deadener on the roof and hatch! But if there was extra it would go in the doors! Thank you for your time!

I would love to use this in the next car I buy. I'm currently car-less due to an accident in August, and cannot drive or work. I had a brain hemorrhage and severe concussion, along with severe neck, back, and leg injuries. Nothing broken, but my brain is really messed up and I'm really not the same. If or when I am cleared to do anything, I want to buy another car and put another system in it like I was planning on in the last one. I had all Rockford Fosgate, two Prime 12s, Prime 6x9s, and Power 4x6s in a 98 Malibu running off a Prime 5 channel, and was working my way up to a MUCH bigger system before I got smashed in my driver's door by a Jeep Wrangler. I'm new to the forum and learned about the contest through Audiotechnix on Facebook.

If I win I'm going to use it for my roof and the rest of my trunk in my SQL build. I have to get rid of EVERY little rattle, might add a little more to the inside of my doors as well since ill be running almost 400w of midbass. I could definitely use some though, money for audio is running thin.

Seems like a great opportunity for all. Good luck to all you guys that participate.

I am currently in a full rebuild process of my 2007 ford escape and a complete deadening is going to be done. From firewall to the rear hatch and the floor to the roof. If i won any type of package i will do a review of the product as compared to drive door to passenger door and also send out a sample to get a comparison of the current deadener i have with graphs from an accelerometer. The product i have now is some now name brand but is very comparable to dynamat xtreme.

Nice Coleman, ive got a new big build im about to start on fresh. Just got a 95 blazer up and going and it has literally 0 audio in it right now.
Will be putting in 4 15s on 10,000+ watts, and i think i will definently be needing some top class sound deadener to go in the front part of the cabin to try and keep rattle down. Hope to put up big numbers with this build, and think some AT deadener will help me out !!!

if i was to win one of the free packs, i would use it for a new install(2 AQ sdc2.5 12s on a mb quart onyx 1600d amp) i am getting ready to do on my wife's xterra. we are doubling the bass she has and as of right now the rear hatch already rattles so i would want to eliminate that rattle on the rear hatch. if there was any left over fromt the rear hatch i would use some around the front doors which i plan to add a nice componenet set there....

in all really need to eliminate the rattle in the rear hatch so the bass doesnt get drowned out by it.

The roof flexes like crazy whenI bump, PLUS I need it to help shield the roof of my truck from the 120+ degree heat when I travel through the desert. Im an outdoor photographer & I travel through the desert quite often. Plus my doors sound like tin cans when I shut them lol. PLEASE hook a broke AT enthusist up!

Id deaded my q logic kick panels, which im sure would make a huge difference for my rainbow slc 6.5's/tweets. Currently i have 3 layers of 80mil b stock on my drivers door and 2 layers on my passenger, id even that up. And if I was lucky enough to end up with 40 sqft, id buy some quality suede and redo my headliner with deadening underneath. Any leftover would be installed in the doors of a friend who has never had deadener installed so he would be convinced of its effectiveness.

:cool:I would first do my trunk lid and rear deck. My gen camry is known for having those rattle big time. I would then do my door. It would be pretty nice to kill the road noise too. This way I could really hear my kicker system thump!

I would use your product for my 2002 lexus gs300. Suspension/wheels/exterior mods are done, audio install is pending. Double din, hybrid audio unity 6.5s, i10sw, boston acoustics amps waiting to be installed.

Front doors, rear decklid and trunk would be treated

Plan on starting on my build after I come back from my wedding in a few weeks ( so you can justify it as a wedding gift or i'm deeply sorry for your loss of manhood lol)
it will be in my 2012 silverado tx edition will be walled off and components and what not in the doors, so prior to the build would be a great time to deaden. dont have a super high post count here like 15k over on termpro where I used to be most active but since that forum has died off Ive now made ca.com my home. Ive been around a while had to step out for a few years after moving down here and starting my life over but getting back into the game full swing now, plan on hitting alot of these houston usac shows, so I'm local no shipping involved =)

after driving my truck the other morning I noticed my passenger door has some nasty annoying rattle still on stock speakers as well as the upper dash near the windshield, cant imagine what it will be like when I put the components in

I'll get in on this... My car sure needs some deadening. At least in the trunk... Running an Obsidian Audio 18 with no deadening is NO GOOD.
