Ok, so i was looking to get the volume of my box i got 7.2 ft3 i wanted to know if it's right the box dimension are H/16 W/23.5 L/40.5 Im looking to make and internal aeroport box because of the limited space. I would also like to know the best port size and how many personally i was thinking a 8" port on 2 12's then i was like with the aeroport i might can do 2 15's in the box and it sound's good well idk im more of a mechanic than a box builder i'm in need of help and your all the one's i trust.

Thank you.

I'd use a 9" aero for that size box.

Really depends on what subs you use. It's going to be over sized for 12's and on the small size for 15's.

Final question maybe lol.. What size obsidians and aero would you do with a 8.8 cube box matter fact can you tell if i got that right everyone says 2 cubes now your saying 6 that means smaller box right?

No, you are going off your gross cubic feet. Subtract sub and port displacement and you'll be well around 7 cubes or less

2 15's between 5 and 7.5 after displacement.

As far as ports...

IMO it is worth the little money to get one of our fine pro box designers to do the work for you on a design, I prefer Moble Enclosurs ;

Welcome to the Obsidian club, I think you will be pleased with your new subs!

they only come in 17" lengths, just leave them full length and cut down if you want to tune higher.

just me but if you are insistent on using up all the space, IMO you should also consider a single 18" with a slot port. i'm a fan of the bigger boys like the 15s and 18s. plus a single sub will be easier on the wallet.

That's what I did this time around, but I almost regret not going 2 15's again. I think next time around will be 4 12's.

I'd really suggest you read what I posted. That is from Nick himself... he knows what works for his subs man.

This is what a highly regarded member said. But after running basboxpro and winsid, 3.2cubes with 8" external seems to be money.

seriously, dont use modeling programs. they are worthless fo an spl enclosure. but test this design and see if it works. just test test test test test. you can theorize all day, but until you actually test something, you dont know sh1t.

Yes true. Especially with my new vehicle I know nothing about wagons. The design was somewhats orientated for my hatch. I might just complete it and sell it. I want 4 8s or 4 10s

Would 2 5" ports be to much for 2 12" obsidian's?
