Hey,
My friend got a new car, '03 CRV, and wants to upgrade the stereo. I did her previous car so some of the parts will be new, some re-used.

Equipment to be Installed:
Alpine 9857 with iPod cable
Directed Audio 600D - 600w @ 1ohm
Alpine Type R 12" D2 (old style)
2.5 ft^3, custom aeroport enclosure @ ~34Hz
Memphis 6.5" PR Components
Knukonceptz CCA 4awg wiring kit

Box is angled to sit flush against rear seat

I've never done a custom aeroport or any aeroport install so this should be a fun learning experience... Thanks for looking.

Oh, and one more thing... She came with me to choose the port color. I think it might be funny to have a pink hole at roughly waist height when the hatch is opened. We'll see how it looks.. haha

Quick update... All five hours of my work so far has gone into the mould, which will be resined tonight. More pics to come.

Most of the install is complete, except for the new box. I've been busy so I put her old sub/box in for the meantime. I can say that the CR-V gets loud, even the 12" RD Classic in a sealed box @ 2ohm (receiving ~400w) pounds, especially when the box is moved about 3-4" from the hatch. Here are some pics I managed to take during the installation.

I dremel'd down the ring terminal so it would fit on the stock battery terminal

She had to drive her car after the power wire was run. It got dirty :(

Wasn't paid to do any sound deadening but I couldn't help putting a couple squares behind the speakers... I'm sure it helps!

The 3/4" MDF adapter plates were primered for water resistance, but the window BARELY touched the speaker magnet when the speaker was installed. I decided to attach some weatherstripping I had to provide clearance.

I had to run the stock speaker wiring through the panel so I added a hole and grommet.

Forgot to take pictures of the amp fully installed, sorry!

nice install bro!
Thanks.. found some more pics on my phone of the front door. Tweeters were attached from the rear with hot glue. I was skeptical at first at the glue's ability to hold but from now on I will be using it, very easy and very secure, especially when the tweeter cutout is so tight that it snaps into place.
