First off i sold the truck, ive always wanted a wall, and the truck was getting a little old to me. lol this build will be slow and be done in 3 stages. 1st stage will be be a temp setup, cheap and mostly equipment i have. 2nd stage will be front stage and 3rd will be the wall.

rundown of equipment:

Headunit: Kenwood x994, Ipad 1 64gig
Mids: Sundown Neo Pro 8's, CDT es4's in dash
Tweets: Crescendo FT-1's
Subs: 2 SA 15's tuned loooowwww
Amps: Sundown 125.4's, AP mini

picked up this for a STEAL. http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/IMG_20120824_190315.jpg
http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/IMG_20120824_190004.jpg

Little something i built because i was bored. these mids will be going in the blazer eventually, and will be replaced with some cheap 8's off parts express.

Two modded 3hp 1.8kWRMS 15's built by Zeuslicious on a DC 5.0k, gonna snag a Levi III to power a set of Vifa NE25VTS-04's and Exodus Anarchy's. The Anarchy's are 8ohm, so bridging the Levi to make a 4 channel for big power on the Anarchy's.

Where did you get it modded? That's a LOT of power o.0

Very nice setup. I bet that front stage is gonna sound **** good. Always wanted to try those mids out.

Mr mantz himself did the mod. Can only run the amp 8ohms bridged or 4 ohm stereo. No lower.

I'm hoping for good things for my build. Gonna have to put a lot of work in on the install. Gonna tune the subs pretty low, hopefully will be pretty loud with a pull towards SQ. Gonna be a sloooow build though. I think a stock Levi is going to work perfect in my build, but I'll keep the modding option in mind for later. Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing your build come together more too!

Sounds good. How many/what size alts you going to be running, and where are you getting a bracket? Or are you going to give up A/C?
Quad alts with a/c :)

Gonna do 3 300-370 18v alts and probably the stock alt for vehicle. All amps will run on 18v. Gonna go with Tenney or mechman more than likely

:wow: Wow

I'm still deciding between the stock plus a DC 270XP, or a single 370XP. Thinkin the single is the way to go.

What do those 125.4's do on 18V? Surprised they can handle that to be honest.

Why not run stock and 370? Only difference is the price for the bracket. Send me a pm about it. I could help ya out.

They do around 30% more power. I'd say easily 150x4@4. Jacob built these amps for the 18v guys. No really 18v mids and highs amps.

I pulled the oem grille and am taking it and the rest of the parts to get painted tomorrow. Also ordered my hids for the fogs. Plan on picking up tires this week for the wheels. Then the audio will begin. Thinking of doing 4'super cheap 12s on either one of my 125.4s or pick up a cheap amp too. Something to see if I'm gonna like the box design I have planned.

Grille I picked up off eBay to get me by while the other is painted. Also plan on painting the rings around my headlights myself if all goes well

What headlights/turning signals/fog lights you going with? I am liking these for mine:

SPYDERŪ - Chevy Blazer 1998-2005 Black CCFL Halo Projector Headlights (http://www.carid.com/1999-chevy-blazer-headlights/spyder-ccfl-halo-projector-headlights-315052.html)

With the projector housing you have to get these smaller HID bulbs:

Fusion AC-Max Upgrade Lighting System for Aftermarket Projector Headlights (Single-Beam Only, Pair) (http://www.xtralights.com/fusionupgradelightingsystemforprojectorlampspair.a spx)

Also, do you have the tape player that came stock down underneath the ash tray? I was thinking that would be a perfect spot for voltage meters/USB ports/switches.

It. Lol

All that's left is round over, sub, and port cutout. Gonna pick up a flush trim bit for router. Pisses me off I lost my countersink bit. So I said screw it and just did it without it. Not what I should have done. But I'll live with it.

Bracing is gonna be all thread. One from front to back and side to side. Then two up and down. At least that's the plan now.

Got a few spots I need to work
On, but for the most part they are surprisingly pretty smooth.

Still up in the air how exactly I want to cover them. I'd like to do some type of two-tone. So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I'm clueless on what I should do.

So maybe the dark charcoal leather on the doors, then suede on the top part of the door that's removable?

Few people asked about the tweeter pods, so here are some pics of the other door after getting Everything lines up and glued in. I lay mat where the panel separates to strengthen it. Had a little resin left over and didn't wanna waste it hence the random spots of resin soaked mdf lol

Well things took a little turn, and I think I'm happy of the outcome so far. When I sanded the doors, didn't really know how good I had to get them to look good wrapped. Went to the store and saw some textured paint, and grabbed a few cans. Needless to say I'm happy with the outcome since I don't have to wait on them to get wrapped and it's about $200 cheaper lol could have been better, bet meh **** it.

Spent the better half of last night getting the doors on. Got one completely done, other all is left is cutting off the bolts and wiring. Here are a few pics of how I mounted them. They also have two bolts under the door handle. You can also see where I had to cut a little bit of the inner door out to clear The mids.

Sub amps will be in a few. Saving up for an 18v alt right now, already have 3 d1600s. Gonna do some bracin to the doors, and add some deadener real soon so I can be done with the doors. Still debating if I want to keep the current dash speakers I have, or glass 6.5s in it. I really need a wide range mid, from maybe 150-12khz. I also need to do a lot of tuning with my headunit and amps.

Also, subs amps should be in next week if all goes well :) next week I plan on finishing up the box and getting some wiring done for switches and voltmeters. Anyone have any suggestions on placement? Ill post some pics up later of where I'm am thinking of placing the switches. The voltage and temp meters will be a little harder to find a good location. Thought of getting a cassette console putting meters where the console would be.

Yeah I'm gonna throw a piece of mdf in there and throw a little bondo around the edge to clean it up and make it flush. Thought about doin the CD tray too, but not sure what I would put there. Pretty much anywhere along that console would look good with random things in it.

mobileaudioforum.com. Still haven't posted a build log there though, people hate slow builds lol and I'm not far enough along. And just tell him you'll pay him $30 or so. It might also be really cool to fiberglass those meters and things in, make them raised, think that would look pretty cool too. 4 door. Behind the seats, 19" high (windowline is 17") resulted in about 8 cubes net, building over the wheel wells. I've got the box design floating around here somewhere if you want me to post that up.

Edit: Nevermind, didn't realize I had the box in that PR thread.

Just gathering parts little by little. Cash flow has been low for CA, so it's been pretty slow. Will probably get my box made next month, and send in my alternator to get recased.

Got my all thread back from my buddy that welded the washers on. reason i did this was so the box would sit flat, and i plan to mount the amp to the back of the box so i couldnt afford for a nut to be sticking out and have clearance issues.

i scored a 2ft piece of 8in pipe, so i can cut different lengths, write the tuning on them, and go from there. i imagine port will load off of hatch, making tuning lower than actual.

Not exactly happy with the depth I have for the port to hatch, a hair over 5in. The ns-1 is so wide and tall that it kinda is hard to mount it anywhere else. Mounted to the seats helps me

Thanks man. Yeah that spot was made for those amps. All I did was put a piece of wood on the slanted metal with a few sheet metal screws. One or two batteries on the passenger side of the box. One battery in each cubby hole behind each seat. Gotta cut a little sheet metal out to fit em
Though. Gotta figure out the best way to wire it all up though.

That panel pops right off, and I cut a small piece of plastic and worked some Bondo in there.

in the process of selling a lot of extra stuff i got laying around to help fund some thing i need to get this thing half way finished.

ordered some 80 mil AT deadener last night, started today getting everything out so i could knock it out pretty quick.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/CBECAA6E-6B27-41BA-8C82-E72F84FAD4C7-14509-00000AA55CE18348_zps875f5535.jpg (http://s640.photobucket.com/user/treylittlefield/media/CBECAA6E-6B27-41BA-8C82-E72F84FAD4C7-14509-00000AA55CE18348_zps875f5535.jpg.html)
Here is my problem, there is gonna be a wall in this thing in the future no doubt, that being said i dont want to waste a **** ton of deadener on the roof when i plan to put wood up when i wall. i would like to put some wood up, then the headliner back in for this build. just don't know the best way to do it
http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/641E6F41-DA4A-4A9C-B1F2-3539E53B0144-14509-00000AA56FFE3AC3_zps099415e0.jpg (http://s640.photobucket.com/user/treylittlefield/media/641E6F41-DA4A-4A9C-B1F2-3539E53B0144-14509-00000AA56FFE3AC3_zps099415e0.jpg.html)

Sent my alts to mechman for them to be checked out and to get them swapped over to internally regulated so i could run the AVBM2. long story short they gave me the runaround and said that particular case could be internally regulated blah blah blah. then goes on to tell me they are 340amp alts. lol i called BS and told them to send me a vid of them clamping 340amps, they got my email and phone # and i haven't heard from them since. Not very happy with their CS honestly.

Well not much of an update, but ive been selling a lot of stuff and messing with deadening. Here is my roof as we speak, I have 2 more pieces to put up and i will be done with the wood. Still have to foam a little more and I plan to deaden over the wood and between it.

This is some mean stuff, bonds practically anyhting to anything lol

Been a really hectic week, Dad had a heart attack this past Monday morning. He only had a 50% blockage and they said the heart attack was likely due to stress. He is fine now and said he feels great. Makes you realize and cherish the time you get to spend with him. He will be off work for a few weeks ( drives a 18 wheeler cross country) so maybe i can run some wire and put in some alts pretty soon with his help.
Finally got some time to put in some work on the blazer and finish up the roof.

wood is all in.

Patiently waiting on wire. Still gotta install my alt bracket though. Been working on stuffing 3 batts in the back of this thing lol

Here is a pic of where I plan on putting 2 of em.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/2B318492-3751-4B92-9135-1328439253F1-73302-00000BA8169B9B74_zpsa22c7c99.jpg

I had to cut out some of the inner skin to get it to fit good. Plan on wrapping the batt in a plastic bag and foaming under and behind the batt to help hold it in place.

think i finally have my wiring and battery situation right.

little bit of equipment to work with

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/12F8237B-D2FD-41A8-A320-6EF7ADE96B80-33931-000012C067DC3940_zps0c270f8d.jpg (http://s640.photobucket.com/user/treylittlefield/media/12F8237B-D2FD-41A8-A320-6EF7ADE96B80-33931-000012C067DC3940_zps0c270f8d.jpg.html)

here is how the batts will be. will this work though? run alts to the front left battery shown, then to the right battery, then to the back battery, then to the amps? all the wire will be 4/0 welding cable.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/0A2D7854-3C3B-425A-BA6E-BAFCB959C8D0-33931-000012C058338754_zpsb47d08b1.jpg (http://s640.photobucket.com/user/treylittlefield/media/0A2D7854-3C3B-425A-BA6E-BAFCB959C8D0-33931-000012C058338754_zpsb47d08b1.jpg.html)

any input will be greatly appreciated, seems like the most logical way.

Here are two ways I could go about wiring them.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/Power_zps62b0c124.png

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/Power2_zps87780cb8.png

I went ahead and did it this way, if it doesn't work it won't be near as hard to change it.

This will be where the two charge wires off the alts come to.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/B7BB20F1-DBEB-4501-8BD0-2557D288D2CC-51419-0000148787347F5C_zps1c13ad9a.jpg

Second batt

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/FEF42ECD-5147-4106-93B1-ECF779BD7407-51419-000014878F21CFF1_zpsce8f4182.jpg

3rd batt. Gonna need some terminals for this one. 1 4/0 3 1/0 and 2 gauge on each terminal. Will be 2 4/0 grounds running to frame off this batt also.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu128/treylittlefield/14447CF8-29FF-497B-AD33-A04949E325CE-51419-0000148795AB5D88_zpsdc91acb3.jpg

Better idea of how it's ran. Still gotta put interior plastics back in.

Got a little bit of a problem i gotta fix first before i install the alts. See how the charging posts stick out? im afraid it is going to hit the hood and the power steering pump. (left alt is the top). gonna send it off to singer to get them re-clocked and possibly powder-coated if he will. might even get a clamp of them since Mechman was too lazy to do so.lol

Holy smokes look at those surrounds. Those beast have some DSL surrounds. I've used those security screws + nuts before. Be very careful with them. I had problems before to where that bottom nut/teeth piece stripped underneath making it a BIG PITA to take the screw out.

Well the 125.4s didn't like 17.1v(batt resting voltage). Talked to a few people and found out that the first run of these amps had the wrong resistor in the protection circuit, causing them to protect on anything higher than 16v. I have 3 of these amps lol so I gotta send all three back in exchange for 3 with the right resistor. Kinda *****, but part if it I guess. Just gotta wait till I get them back before I can install my subs.
