Guys, I am finishing my 4th order bandpass this week and i need to know if 2" steel pipe with 4x4 plates welded onto the ends with a bolt hole on each corner will be enough . This will be my top to bottom brace.

Its 3.22 sealed - 9.20 ported with 2 sundown sa15s. Subs inverted and mounted to a double baffle about 9 inches from the back of the box. Its 41" deep. SO in know the double baffle will be enough support for the back end of the box. But the remaining 35" or so will only have the port walls for support. The port will be 6" long so that will brace the front of the box. What do you guys think?? Will the steel pipe with 1/4 inch plates welded to the ends and i bolt them to the box. WIll it be ok??

As long at the bracing is not getting in the way or taking up to much room, there is never a reason not to add more bracing. Yes, it can become overkill and more often then not that is exactly what it is. However, at least you know it is built to handle just about anything.

There really is no such thing as too much bracing. Like Pro-Rabbit said, as long its not ridiculous you should be good. Then again, there is no such thing as too much ahah

Yea. It will be a 2" steel pipe with flange type plates on top and bottom. Bolt holes so i can secure it
