I have been looking for a component set for my 2012 mazda 3. It has stock tweeters, so I was hoping those would be an easy replacement (Anyone with a 2010+ mazda please inform me of the tweeter size).

I am starting a low power build for my car because it has a small 95 amp alt and as it is a brand new car, I don't want to stress it too hard because I don't want to fry something or kill the alternator in the future. I have done a handfull of installs before this so I know my way around the car. Anyways, I will be running these from a Cadence TXA 3004, I had the amp sitting here for a long time, going to put it back into use. It will do 75X4 @4ohms, 150X4 at 2 ohms and 300x2 @4ohms. My plan is to allot the front 2 channels to components, somewhere in the 100 watt rms range, may go less if my budget doesn't fit what I am looking for. I will be running the rear channels for 300wrms for an IDQ 10 v2 that I am looking for (if anyone is selling)

So my question is, why in the hell is it so hard to find which CDT set does what? I have been looking and looking and I found these Amazon.com: CL-61A.2-25 PRO - CDT Audio Classic 2-Ohm 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers: Electronics (http://www.amazon.com/CL-61A-2-25-PRO-Classic-Component-Speakers/dp/B0043BYBX4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1347423203&sr=1-1&keywords=CL-61A.2-25+PRO) Which looked pretty good to me, but the power rating really throws me off on these CDT comp sets.

IS the 150rm rated as a pair or per speaker? I haven't seen many other companies ever do their ratings like this and I can't find a straight answer.

Also, I am not stuck on CDT comps, I will go with some other ones if they are good sounding and will get pretty loud. I have about 200 bucks to drop. Let me know if the ones I chose are good or if you can point me in another direction. Obviously, I am looking for a 2 ohm pair, and CDT had a lot of sets in 2 ohm. I have ran speakers off of 75rms @4ohms before and it just wasn't that amazing sounding to me, so please, enlighten me.

Thanks!
Jeff

That is interesting that you say that because I just got my reply email a minute ago from CDT and it said this :
questions:I have a question regarding the CL-61A.2-25 PRO. They say they are rated at 150rms. Is that for the pair? As in 75 rms each, or is that per speaker? Just a little confusing seeing the specs in that manner. Thanks! Hopefully getting these as my first set of good components.

Rating is per speaker and at 120Hz high-pass

What are you confused about. They are 150 rms per side at 120 hrtz. If you go with a lower freq then the power handling will be less. I am a authorized dealer for cdt. I talk to ken every week

Yeah I guess now that we have the ratings thing settled, are the cdts I linked good? At 150rms I would assume they will get really loud for me.

Awesome. Thanks. I'll probably end up deadening the doors as well. I will be buying these in the next week or so
