Still got some finishing to do. My subs will not be ready for shipment until October 19th. So hopefully get everything buttoned up in October

This raised the stock floor about 3".

Just purchased two Atomic AP8's dual 4ohm today. They will be run at 1ohm off the amp you see above. Rated at 2500rms at 14.4. Which means at full tilt these subs should see around 2000 - 2200 watts. I am figuring a drop from 14.3v to about 12.8v at full tilt. They should be built by Friday or Monday. So hopefully have them by the end of next week.

As soon as my ebay funds clear my paypal I will be having StarrMountainSound aka double 07 ; build my enclosure. Had two different specs that I sent to him and just got confirmation from George over at Atomic that my first specs 28w x 14h x 12d with a 1.5^cu.ft net internal will be best.

Once I get everything installed and give them some time to break in I will post a video. I will have pics up as soon as i get the subs, enclosure, and then get them installed. I plan on giving StarrMountainSound a full review of the enclosure.

Future plans will be to give this Soundstream RUB2500.1d amp a thorough clamp test on video for the masses. Then I will make a 4 hour trip to Fargo, ND to have Team TrafikJamz put everything on a termlab. Will get official numbers on the dash, kick, sealed, open, and port scores.

Love the floor!

Might have to copy that idea on my build.

Thank you sir. One of the easiest ways to hide an amplifier. I made sure that I can still access my spare tire as well.

Why all the dB link stuff? o.0... That's what I bought when I first started. I used a 4 gauge kit from them. it doesn't even come close to the flexibility and quality feel of my AT 1/0.

Everything else is looking spiffy. Nice and clean in the trunk!

Running in to a bit of a snag. Just talked to Atomic and the dealer I went thru, they are having conflicts. So I was told that if they decide to ship the Atomic AP8's I would be getting them with NO warranty. So I called my dealer and stated that if they are 0 warranty I don't want the subs. So I will know by the end of the day if I am getting a refund of my money or not.

Well I should be getting my money back today and putting in an order for Cadence S2W8 S2's. Screw Atomic, I will NEVER promote their products again

Cadence S2W8 S2's

Checked with Cadence and was told with the smaller enclosure they should handle 1k each easily

The enclosure is 1.5^cu.ft net tuned to 34hz. In car tuning should be about 43hz. Talked to Cadence Tech before I purchased and they stated with the amount of power I have on tap, the smaller enclosure is actually better.

Heres a tease

In and hooked up. I am barely feeding any power to these. I am surprised, on White Girl with two lil 8's and gain on the amp almost 0, I am getting a lil windshield flex. I am gonna give them a month and turn them up to about 2k to the pair. With the amount of excursion I am getting at 34.64v/ac or 1200 watts, they are barely moving, I think these are underrated as far as power.

How do they sound for you?
My shoes? Lol. Good luck on the application. I'm about to order front n rear stage for my wifes xterra from cadence. Their speakers have surprised me as well....very clean n crisp n I have my comps just running off my hu.....can't wait to hear a set on an amp which my wifes will be.

Right now during the break in they sound really clean. Low bass extension is not where I would like it, but with my enclosure restraints I have to deal with it. Kickbass is ungodly.

Yeah I am about to pickup a cadence two channel for my mids and highs (RE Audio). I had someone interested in My Rubicon 2500.1d but I couldn't find a Cadence amp in the price range to match it. So I'l be keeping the Rubicon unless I hear something on that app.

I am gonna compete IASCA SQ this next year. So hopefully, be able to place in 5 comps so I have something to offer them.
