The low end was fine when I tuned low. These really shine with the punchier bass frequencies, so the lower tuning helps balance it.

They only require 1.25 cubes actually, but recommend 1.5. They are designed for smaller enclosure applications.

I bought 8 from best buy when they were on a ridiculous sale and they've been selling like crazy locally. They really are great subs. I'm tempted to hang on to a few.
