Ok guys!!! I have the pics and the story of my journey. From building the box to getting the sub. Enjoy.
All started with a trip to home depot. Got a 49 x 97 " piece of MDF for 19$.
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/woodcut2.jpg
Major cuts were made Free of charge by this nice man at Home Depot.
Also bought some supplies.
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/supplies2.jpg
Liquid Nails, Chaulk Gun, Nails, and Foam Seal.
Total was probably 8$
Was originally goind to make a sealed and ported box......things didn't work out as planned.
At first bought a 30$ drill and Jigsaw from Lowes.
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/dust.jpg
Due to the loudness and difficulty of the cuts i was doing, i got aggrevated and returned these tools.
I then bought a RotoZip RZ1 for 59$
Tried it, burned my mdf, was WAY to loud had to return.
This was when i gave up..... and was going to just get it done.
2 days later had a vision. Was like "If i'm going to throw away all this wood, i might as well test the liquid nails out"
Did that and this was what i got.

Real Clean outside.
I then got some mail.

Some **** knukonceptz wiring
3" Flexible flared ports from The Zeb
Banana Terminal from PartsExpress
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/ports.jpg
HUGE Ports, and kind of poorly made
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/portclose.jpg
Also got my terminals dblocks and fuses from darvex.com, all stinger custom pro.
(pics later)
I then bought a drill to put some screws in it, i did buy the screws might as well use them

Bought also a Circle cut drill bit
Made the holes for my ports and terminal as a started for a jigsaw to finish the hole
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/porthole.jpg
got more mess
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/dust.jpg
Drill costed 20$, was good, still returned it.
then went online searching for a multitool, found this
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/multitools.jpg
so i bought this
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/multitools2.jpg
from amazon for 99$, Good for the price, could be more power ful, it got the job done.
Unscrewed all almost 1 pound of screws, and countersunk everyoneof them.
Also cut out terminal and port holes
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/boxinside.jpg
Made the tops so they sort of slant forward like this
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/porttop.jpg
used liquid nails.
Went to Chase Pitkin to pick a color out with my girlfriend.
She decided the crackling idea i had wasn't the one, so we decided to go with the stone look.
http://images.e-techcorp.net/omar/spray.jpg
also got these to go with it

well looks like you spent too much money on building a box. IMO but then again im poor and i don't have that extra $ to spare. I built my box with less than 30 bucks, man i have a cable connection and it took some time to load those pics!

Hehe, I was in the computer lab with a very slow connection at the time, don't mind me. I'm sure your ugly box will work beautifully. ;)

Good luck finishing her up......
it's a nice attempt for a first time. definatly better than my first box (i'll spare myself the shame of showing you guys the pics)
remember kids, when you add it all up it's a lot cheaper to have me do it....and i promise your box won't be ugly!

Only reason why i chose not to get it done by GnomeAudio, is because i am a tinker AND because i will be building a lot of boxes.
But if your not the adventerous type, or need 1 box quick, then i'd say get it done!

Shameless?
Nah.
Uncalled for?

Carpet it all up and it should be fine (although, if you are carpeting, the countersunk screws and bondo really weren't necessary...). My first several boxes were all fiberglass, allows me more freedom and has the added advantage of aesthetics, lighter weight, and cool factor.
Do you get noise from your acordian-like ports flopping around?
