you've got 1/2 the design already done...

I'm too lazy to figure out how much volume that is, but if there is not enough room, why not go with 3 15's. If you get dual 2's you could run them at .67, which will more than likely be right around 1 with box rise.

Id go with a blowthrough.
Im guessing you probably dont have 2 kids that need to sit back there though.

Could use a sub that likes smaller areas...

If you have 13ft3 net after port/sub/bracing and such then you should be good for various 15s. Obsidian comes to mind.

well I wanted to use atomic apocalypse series... I get them for a steal and they are monsters for getting loud... everyone tells me that there is no way that I can fit 4 15s in there.... 2 18s would be fairly easy though....

Yea, the Atomics like the average space you normally see for 15s so less then likely with having enough space. I didn't do any math on your enclosure so I have no idea how much space you have available.

can you figure out the vol. of it please. I will pay you $10. the front is going to be double baffled btw. I just dont trust myself when it comes to these things...

Can you just send me the sketch up file? Would just be much easier for me to be able to figure it out from there.

If so shoot it over to dustin@dc-creations.com

Just attach it via email. When you attach the file to email, use the browse feature and open up the area where your designs are saved.

build it inside the truck. and its a 4 door, so if I take the seats out it will be really easy.

got it...

Gross volume (with no front added to the design, but using internal dims up to the front lip) is 20.12 ft^3

that was fast! where should I send monies to? and with a rough estimate of displacements do you think that I can fit 4 15s??

---------- Post added at 11:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:44 AM ----------

oh and there will be a double baffle so the front dim needs to be shortened by 1.5"....

Ok, if the double baffle front shortens the enclose give me a sec and I will get you a new gross volume.

did you use torres?? because thats exactly what I got... only I didnt subtract the hump in the back and the angled sides on the top.... and does this include wood displacement?

I used basic match based off your dims in the sketch up design. That is after all wood displacements though. That is exact gross volume per your design after all wood. Bracing, port, and subs are not accounted for in that volume.

RangerDangerV2
08-09-2012, 12:13 PM
ok so 18.47 after the hump in the back and what not... whats your paypal address? I may just have you do a design for me...

I can work something out if you like. Just let me know what subs you are good to go with and we can work out port area, tuning and see what you have going on.

And yes, that is the volume after wood and the angled top and the notch in the back.

you could fit it...teammate had 4 15" mayhems in his s10, a lot less room then what you have. His box was like 10cuft after displacements lol
Still did good numbers tho

Just makes it peaky normally and a loss on low end. It also depends on port area and such...

Not sure why he only had 10ft3 though I had that below the window line.

money sending. options for woofers are 4 atomic apocalypse 15s or 2 atomic ele 18's... for power right now I have an saz3500 but I do plan on upgrading to the 7-9k range...

If you want to use that much power I would double wall the enclosure all around and then use 2 18s

Yea, I would guess around 13-14ft3 net depending on bracing.... I have seen it done many times in ext cab trucks...such a small area...they get loud quick.

Yep not bad at all. We had a 2 15 stock setup in a 96 S10 doing mid 150's outlaw..on the glass sealed up we only did 151-152s.. :crap:

this build is for demos... not really going for numbers but I still want it to do decent... so 2 18s it is... atomic ele's for now and apxx's later... rough estimate... what do you guys think I could pull off of 4k right now with the 2 18s?? lower tuning...

Outlaw Usaci style.... I would say low maybe mid 150's at a lower hz then normal.

im really sorry...I just got a new card and paypal wont let me add it for some reason. But I would like you to design an enclosure for me and then we can just add the $10 on to that. what steps do I need to take for this?

A friend of mine had 4 15s in an ext cab Mazda pickup (same truck). 4 Mayhem 15s doing around a 160.
