Buy them and do a review. I think those could be surprisingly good.

They are awesome speakers! They will give you a nice full sound with plenty of highs. These are made to be heard above your sub woofers. I love mine, better then any infinity, Alpine, or Pioneer I have ever owned!

Have you ever heard any high end brands? Focal, Dynaudio, HAT, Hertz, Brax, Helix? Thats the price range these MTX's fit in

The only brand there that I have heard is Focal and it was the K2 series. It sounds similar to them, given I heard them years apart.

I am not a SQ judge but I do think they have good quality. I know better then the brands I had mentioned. I can not say they are better then the Focals, but for $250 you cant loose. I played music and everything from as small as someone strumming a guitar and you actually the pic strumming on each individual string. Blew me away the first time I heard it.

have you heard to MTX TXC 6.1?

I had the TXC6.1 in the stock location(front doors) of my 05 silverado. Like I said I liked them better then infinity, Alpine, or Pioneer which I owned in the past. Much happier with them over the infinity kappas which I had in my previous truck which was a 02 silverado.
