alright well i have a 15" zcon that ssa has right now reconing it, a friend of mine wants to trade me his brand new 18 zcon for my 15, but problem is i just got done building a 4.4 cf box inside my trunk, fiberglassed together and the box was built inside the trunk because its about as big as it , i dont have the front on so i could make it for the 18 but its alot smaller than they recomend for the 18,

Build a new box or dont do it. A proper 15 will be better then a jacked 18

keep what you got dude. its not worth the hassle for a little extra cone area if you go above a 12/15 anyway

Yeah, if you're going for SPL , then the Wicked one (from the West) would be the way to go; SQ, then Good one, from the Far East (Korea or China)

Are you asking if you should go with the swap?..If you have all kinds of money(in which I dont) and extra space to rebuild another enclosure,do it,other than that, keep what you have, and save some funds up towards a better more powerful amplifier is what id do..Always to strive for better quality gear in my opinion/best amps I can get in my budget/used for me

Keep the 15. You already have the enclosure built.

I would keep the 15 cause you know it will be fresh when it comes back.

Sounds like he is not happy with his purchase, and should place on craigs list or something??Keep what you have, and get towards getting the most out of it/use.He must like your sub compared to his ,in which is telling me..you got something done right, and he wants it..LOL..Tell him to get his own bag of cookies!!!!!!!!:santa:

don't forget OP, you got way more into that 15 with initial cost, recone, box and fiber glass to trade straight up for an 18 that needs a new box which is more to invest in while your buddy just plugs and plays with your old 15

Depends on mow much your wanting to spend. Whats your budget?

Thing that ***** is you either need to run it at .5 or 2 ohms and finding a amp that puts out 2-2.5k @ 2 ohm can get expensive. You might be able to find something decent used but still gonna cost.

You can find options in that range, just need to do some searching.

would this be enough to run a 1500-2000 watt amp at .5 ohm
