Building a box for my friend's chevy aveo and figured i would build the same box for my discovery II.
I plan on running it off a Cadence A7HC (~1200@1ohm) and he will be using a Audiopipe APSM 1300 (1000@1ohm).
The box is 2.00cubic ft before displacement. Making it 1.85ft^3. I plan on running 1 4" aero port about 12.5" this gave me ~35hz tuning according to the PSP-Inc.com calculator.
Any suggestions?

more as in 5", or more as in longer?
I'm building almost the same box for an SA12, I am going to use 2 x 3" aeros though to keep the port velocity down.

I have 2 4" aeros coming, one for each box. Could i run 2 4", and if so how long should each be?

The ports would have to be way too long for it to work, like 30+ inches to tune in the mid 30s

so what do you recommend? Im not apposed to buying different ports?
(2) 3" ports?

how long are your 3" ports going to be?

Yes I think for that box 2 x 3" aeros is ideal. I played around with the box design for a long time and the 2 x 3" aeros was the best fit, it will give you a vent mach of 0.03 and there should be no port noise. My ports will be ~17" long to tune it around 32Hz, if you want to tune to 35Hz you can make them ~14" long.

the calculator tells me for my 1.97ft^3 box after displacement (2) 3"x14.5 Aeroports flared. Im assuming each port is 14.5 right? not 7.25 each?
Yeah they would both be 14.5"

how are you porting? I could do sub out, port side and fit 17" aeros. Or I could tune a bit higher 38, and run sub out port up. But ive never done port up in my land rover discovery II.... hmmm
I'm doing sub up, port up firing straight at the rear window of a hatchback. Sub and port will be on opposite ends of the baffle, I will use 90 degree elbows so the ports will be extending towards the sub inside the box.
What are the external dimensions of that box?

you won't hear a difference between 2 3'' ports and 1 4''

I think ill go with (2) 3"x14.5" aero porting to the side. There's a good foot or 2 before the other side of the truck. Now the question is , will (2) 3" aero port faces fit on a 13.5x14 face?
