Item(s) for Sale: MA Audio HK4000D

Item(s) Description/Condition:

Up for sale is a good monoblock amp. It's used but still 100% functional. I purchased this amp from this site over 2 years ago. I used it to power an 18" Fi BTL for 2 months. My car alt was upgraded prior to the system being installed, so this amp has never seen below 14v. It was wired at 4 ohms. This amp never ran warm. It does have it's signs of wear, and the pics below show this. It's never been modded or repaired, 100% functional. I'm only selling it because I've moved onto a totally different system. This amp will do rated power. It's a really good budget amp that will put out some serious power. This is the perfect amp for someone looking to get lots of power while on a budget. I've seen others run this amp as high as 18v. It's a really good amp, I just don't have use for it at the moment. If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free.

Might be interested if I can sell my new Kinetic HC16V 16 volt battery. Would you trade for it? It runs in 16 volt or 12 volt. I cant fit it in my teeny tiny Group 34 battery tray so I have to find an XS 3400D. I would probably need two of XS 3400D's to run this.

I heard they are power hungry. What kind of electrical were you running?

06-26-2012, 04:01 AM
Sorry, I have no use for that battery being that I already have 4 matching batts. I have a HO alt in my car, so voltage was never an issue for me. As for being power hungry, I'd disagree. Their as power hungry as any other amp putting out a real 4k +. Any amp putting out over 4k better be power hungry.

If you're seriously interested once you acquire some cash, let me know.

These are the amps people mod to make them do like 18v daily, right?

06-29-2012, 04:57 PM

Surprised no one has picked this thing up. GLWS!

They always took the higher voltage, it was the lower impedence which they couldn't take which is why you cut a resistor on the board. I wrote something up on it a few years back...its probably lingering around here somewhere.

So far just the typical guys claiming "cash in hand" but when it comes down to completing a transaction, they "all of a sudden" have important expenses they need to take care of.
