This is going to be a build of my 2006 Pontiac G6 trunk of course. For those who didnt know we will be starting our own subwoofer line Imperium Audio Designs "Reign" series. These woofers are 1,000 rms line. I will be running our PROTOTYPE 12" model. The sub will be ran off a Crescendo Bass Clef 2K @ 1 ohm. Should have some progress on the box tomorrow with pics we are going to go with around 2.25^3 @ 36 hertz kerfed port will be textured grey/silver with a "Sail" blue port to match car box will be built by a local friend and great builder, Miles. Have a Red Top Optima under hood and a C&D 100AH in trunk. Will be gutting my current wire for Shok Industries REF. PRO series 1/0 should have that in by the weekend. We should have everything up and playing by Sunday maybe a day early or so. Not many pics right now but should have some more tomorrow including box build progress. Sub will be in hand Thursday along with our other prototypes.

Well, box assembly is done. Lol. Just have to fiberglass the inside and paint it. Probably do that tomorrow seeing as i don't have a paint brush for the fiberglass, or any of the paint. But, here are some pictures of the finished assembly. Need to do a little sanding but other than that it's almost done. Start to this point took a little over 1.5 hours.

Gains just set by ear for the vid just threw it together quickly, however highly doubt I was clipping was set low around 1/4 way up.

as someone who might buy i would quicker to buy somethin a little more pretty for 199 im more drawn to flat caps than bubble caps that blue iad logo on a flat cap would look great but thats just my input

We should have our sample dustcap logos in today. As we want our drivers to be nice loOkin priority number one is performance.

Did some testing in my daily driver (Pontiac G6) remember this a daily vehicle (trunk) on less than 2k with a single 12". Anyway did a 142.67db @ 45htz on a 45htz tone.

i dont like it it looks kinda cheap like i could take a penny and scrape the paint off. looks more like a custom sub than a car audio company. im not tryin to look down on it but you say performance is the most important thing. but at the end of the day are you trying to sale to people who really know about all of this stuff and what all these numbers mean or are you trying to sale as many woofers as possible. its kool to have nice performing woofer but you have a chance to have your company as big as you want it to be so dont look over product imaging, and marketing your company in general. make your products look nice, make your website look nice. dont be as big as sundown be as big as rockford. put your heart into your brand and product

I absolutely do put my heart into this product and then some I love this hobby. At the end of the day im trying to sell a proven product with great numbers to back it up. Cosmetics will always come second following performance. You are the few people that prefer looks over performance... What does a great looking, eye candy driver do if it cant perform and exceed your expectations?

I just got a g6, and i have a btl 15 in a 4 cu box tuned to 29 hz.. slams hard as hell man but it seems like its not loud outside to me.. but man how did you install your cd player? when i tried to install my aftermarket, the car wont start, so i plan on buying the wire harness, to keep the dic but man i wish i didnt have to.

Honestly are trunks dont have the room for a proper 15" enclosure from my experience. You have to buy a specialized adapter for the deck to stop the integration from the stock to the aftermarket.

Rebuilding again. This time rebuilding with a 10". We have our 10" prototype parts coming and being built within a week or so. Pioneer~Saturn (Doug) will be the official builder/designer of IAD. He has designed and going to build the 10" enclosure for our prototype, so he can show our customers his ability!

Also have false floor cut going to some sanding on it, then screw it into the car. Also going to cut the amp rack soon and have the rubber washers for mounting the amp a bit of the floor to help with cooling.

Alright, all finished up :) :D

I left the tape over the cutout because I may still touch up on the bedliner a bit but we'll see...and, of course, I pick the box up with my hands with sawdust on them and it clings to the bedliner :( so that's what the blotches are in a couple of pics...will try to take some masking tape over the areas to see if it will pick the dust up off the bedliner.
