I think im going to be running two 15 inch ssa icons. Now the questions from what I have read its best at 3-3.5 ft per sub and then optional 4 ft per sub. What would be the best for me I plan on running them on 2k rms and 3k for competition and showing off

I'd definitely go with this if you're planning on pushing a bit over rms. If you make it the 4cf, being that the sub is made for 2000rms, when you go over rms you may push its excursion limits. Keeping under that volume would lessen excursion and increase the amount of power you can push through it imo.

3.5-4 works very well. You can alter the port area and tuning to work better with different power and your application.

The icon does not require a ton of power to perform very well.

Yeah I'm just waiting for the new 1500rms skar subs to come out so I know they're spec sheets and how much thay are going to be before I make a decision on subs

I would take the SSA over Skar every time.

The icon is 1250w.

I just went off what the op said, I didn't look up specs.

so did anybody do any real testing or did they all just guess on a box size?
