I'm trying to figure this out on my own..forgive me for my misunderstandings.

Respectively, these are my dimensions I've come up with..they are loose, I am just trying to match my Qts accurately.

H=14
W=16
D2=4
D1=10

This is a wedge shaped-sealedbox. D2 obviously being the top depth dimension.

These measurements yield 0.58 cu ft .. which I know is a tad large, but I am compensating for some bracing. Probably going to rip the 3/4 MDF down to 1/2"(as I have a lot of stock to waste) and brace all the seams.

Sub Specifications:

Fs: 25 Hz Magnet weight: 150 oz. SPL: 86 dB 1W/1m Vas: 3.00 cu. ft. Qms: 3.12 Qes: 0.58 Qts: 0.49 Xmax: 14.3 mm Dimensions: Overall diameter: 12-3/8", Cutout diameter: 11-1/8", Depth: 5-3/8"

Thanks in Advanced for anyone taking the time to assist me.

lol 150 views and nothing?

Can someone at least tell me I'm on the right path?

Thanks

What you have is a trapezoid to figure volume for a trapezoid:
First convert all your values to feet by dividing by 12.

volume = L * (b1 + (b2 - b1) * h1 / h + b1) * h1 / 2
In your case here are the values converted:
L= 16 = 1.334
h=14 = 1.167
h1=7 = .583
b1=4 =.333
b2=10 = .833

Google "calculate volume of a trapezoid" enter the values and you get:

.36 cu ft.

Your Vas: 3.00 cu. ft.
This is the size you want your box volume to be
Vas = Volume Air Space

at either .36 or .58 cu. ft. it is to small

I found this site very helpful:
www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm

Your dimensions need to be more like
H = 18"
L = 24"
D1 = 8"
D2 = 16"

Were talking a 12" sub here not a 6-1/2" woofer
which is the original dimensions you give for.
