This. There are a lot of box builders on the site and we need to proof to show that you are reputable.

Site is still in the works. I do everything through paypal though, so all your money is safe and refundable if not satisfied. I use 3/4" MDF and make it to your specifications. I also will work with your budget. That's what sets me apart from other bigger companies.

Understandable. That's why I will give you a quote based on your specs and preferences. Also, with paypal, if you weren't 100% satisfied with the finished product, simply have the money refunded. 0% risk. If it were me, I'd take the chance for the lower price. Respectfully, I'm sure there are more like me. If you're not one of them, I suppose you'll have to wait a few months. :)

paypal does not work like that.. they aren't a 100% satisfaction or refund service.. you get your product or you don't.. even then they barely do much to protect anyone..

We've used paypal for years.
"1. If your order never arrives. 2. Your order arrives, but it's different than it was described"
This is an issue no matter who you go with. The difference is, you pay them more.

Shipping rates are anywhere between 30-70 for average box. If I set exact rates for everything, I couldn't give you the lowest price. But just for an idea im working on 2ft^3 L-port for $115 shipped. Im not doing ridiculous designs for that but if you want something afforadable, I can work with you.

How about a 2.5 cube box ported with MDF for a 12" havoc? Max height is 16-17", total depth 20-22 and width no more than 32. I'm sure you can build around those specs. I might need an amp rack and I want a visually appealing box with perhaps some lettering and something other than carpet to cover it. It's going in an 07 Denali. I made those measurements based on how much space I want to give up.

An 8 sided port certainly does approximate a circle more closely than a 4 sided port does. This comes into play when you want to calculate the head losses of a duct of a given geometry.

Sealed loses its purpose for anything over 1000w...I mean, what's the point of running sealed? Cause you can get a flat response with a properly tuned box and not lose all of the output from running sealed

what the **** are you talking about.

People like to run sealed because it generally gives you a flat response...and if you are running a high powered sub (>1000w for example) and you want to run it sealed then you are looking for loudness (high powered sub) and a flat response (sealed box)...but you don't NEED to run a sealed box to get a flat response, if you know how your car peaks and all that you can design a ported box to have a flat response...

sealed boxes are for subsonic response, not for playing flat. Sealed boxes are great for HT especially when running over 1krms.

You still building boxes. I need one. I considered a generic one but my subs list the specs and none of the generic ones have tuning listed. The 2 subs I have are image dynamics. It even lists the sub displacement at .07 cu ft. Can you build a box to go in the back of an 98 gmc extended cab. It would be nice to have down firing. I'll have to measure some dimensions if you can build it. I would have posted the link but being my first post it was DENIED. lol Ed
