Review of Amplifier:
I just recently purchased a Audiopipe APSM-1500 last week. I paid $113 for it shipped straight to my door.
I have mine running off of Stinger Hyperflex OFC 0 gauge wire ran to a 0 to 4 gauge knu reducer. I have it hooked up to two MTX thunder 8000 12s

My first thoughts upon received the amp and opening it up were wow this thing is small. When they say mini amplifier they mean it. The amp came with a remote controll bass knob and a Mini Anl Fuse holder with a 110 Amp mini ANL fuse.

Now with my current sub woofer set up I can only have it running at 2 ohm. After a hour of playing full tilt the amp wasnt even hot. I have it in a pretty large open area in the back of my hatchback. I was really impressed with the output of this thing. I have used other "budget" amps such as crunch. Kenwood. and clarion. All of which were more expensive than this and none of them could come close to the output of this thing.

It could actually play the low notes the other amps I have used couldn't really put out. the sound quality is what you would expect from a "budget" amplifier but it still gave me a better sound than the other budget amps I have used previously.

my only complaint with this amp is the on board fan. It is pretty noisy and when you aren't listening to music it can be kind of annoying, especially in a hatchback, or SUV

My final thoughts on this thing are positive you have to remember that it is only 113 dollars and it is a "budget amplifier" but for 113 dollars you can not beat it.

To anyone who may be interested in the amp but is turned off by the loud fan -- you can buy replacement fans from newegg.com that run off a 12v line.

Yup all of the above guys are right. I purchased from vminnovations and used the coupon code FACEBOOK. and yes Im sure you can use a quieter fan. Also Im not exactly sure if this is possible but I know race cars use a thermostat relay which only kicks a fan on above a certain temperature. I wonder if it could used in a car audio application

You could install something like that but I'd just assume have the fan be on all the time that way everything stays cool all the time

Great review, I've been looking for an amp that puts out a good amount of power for a fairly low price. By the sounds of this review and the other feedback it seems like I might be getting it.

I'd like to take a look at it sometime if you have any free time and want to bullshit around. What kind of box are your MTX's in? I'm currently running an 8000 15 in 3 cubes at 31hz, its barely getting tickled on 534rms before box rise though but it crushes the lows.

Honestly I dont know. its not a prefab but im guesing like 4 cubes tuned somewhere around 33hz? it was made for alpine type r's lately my system has been taking a ****. like litterally. I have broken pretty much everything I first owned... my dash kit for christ sake snaped on me.. my head unit is now just chillen in there. a new one is on the way. Im actually running 2 mtx thunder 8000s 12s 8ohm wired down to 4. a friend let me have them for installing his system Im using them temporarly while I save up. Another friend let me borrow his 4ohm 8000s to test the amp. Haha if you saw my system as it sits now you would probably laugh but I would love to throw this on your 15 in a good ported box ( im pretty sure ive seen it up for sale on craigslist haha)

Do you have an o scope? How high will it go w/o clipping? I set my apsm1500 at 44 volts, with the sub(Audiopipe TXX-BE15) hooked up. So it's set to do rated only. I saw that the voltage would go a lot higher, but my sub is 1000 rms anyway. Just curious. Thanks for the update, I've had mine for 6 weeks, and I love it.

I think i could get 1100w out of it, the dd-1 is bs IMO

well I think it seemed to struggle in the vid with 1-ohm (not that I even own one) but I think it would make a great 2-ohm mono block for a cheap setup using a single sub with dual 4-ohm voice coils

Get two d2's. The apsm1500 does 800 unclipped watts, at 2 ohms, no problem. It's actually very good match-up for a cheap setup.

so just a little update after nearly a year of use. I have had the amplifier running at 1 ohm now for about the last 6 months, set the gain the with an O-scope and it never gets hot. However I have ran into 1 problem.... the onboard fan. The fan has become increasingly louder now for about the last 3 months. It finally got so bad I opened it up to see what size fan it was and if i could just swap it out with a normal computer case fan.... you cant. the fan is only 1 or .75 inches in diameter. . . sad face. I gues 113 dollars for an amplifier for a year isnt bad. I mean the amplifier still works and doesnt get hot but the fan is too ridiculously loud now for me to seriously consider running it anymore

Check with computer stores and ebay I've bought 1x1 brushless fans before that ran on 14v for rc brushless speed controllers.
