Box calcs different why?

I was checking the JL specs box for an 8w7 8W7AE-3 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - W7AE - JL Audio (http://www.jlaudio.com/8w7ae-3-car-audio-w7ae-subwoofer-drivers-92117)
25.5x10x12
port 1.5x8.5 26'' length
supposedly comes out to 1 cuft tuned to 34.33hz

Torres box calc comes out to .8 cuft tuned to 38.5hz
Re box calc comes out to 1.03 cuft tuned 33.8hz

I thought torres was accurate why is it so off from JL's spec

Make sure that on Torres you have the port set to 3 sides or it will be off. Also make sure that you tell it that you are using .75" wood.

how do you get it to give cuts for the port?

I believe that it just gives you the effective length of what the full port should be so you will have to figure out what your cuts will be. I usually like to build a virtual box in Google Sketchup to figure all of that out. Make sure that when you are trying to get the dimensions to cut your port that you keep the ENTIRE PORT the same width and the port length that it gives you on Torres is ALWAYS measured from the middle of the port (width wise).
