These are the newer lower quality ones with 2.5" coils, don't mean to post dump, but its truth. They still are some beast subs though.

I have one of these, and wanted to destroy it so I hooked up to a brz 1700 at 1ohm 1500 rms in a sealed 1 cf box and it did bottom out. But after a few mins. it was still going strong, so I cranked the bass boost and about a min later the surround ripped but it was still playing. I stopped and pulled it out of the box and the coil looks fine and no smells. Not sure hox long you over exerted these but they can handle some power.

I had the old model ones. I had 500 watts on each. My buddy put 1200 to one and then jacked up the bass boost. After a month one of the coils finally burnt.

They lasted me 6 years
