Item(s) for Sale:
I have two TC Sounds LMS-R 12's. These subwoofers are absolutely insane. I wish I could run these in my truck, but I simply just don't have the space to do it with. I have a crew cab 2008 Sierra so you can understand why I cant fit these. I want to run ported, which is why I am going with some SA-8's ported.

You can check them out here which are sold exclusivity through Parts Express for $369.05 a piece PLUS shipping.

I have read that people who are not running the recommended wattage, which is 1000wrms, are running anywhere from 1400-2500 watts rms to each subwoofer. These subs really dont start to shine till you break the 1200 watt barrier. These subs also perform exceptionally well in a ported enclosure over a sealed enclosure, HOWEVER, they do have a very flat response curve for a true Sound Quality driver if you decide to use a sealed box. These subs just really dive down extremely low, if tuned low, in a ported box. I will place bets with anyone that these subwoofers will dive down lower, louder and deeper than the subs you have.

Once again, I wish I could fit these in my crew cab truck. I just simply cannot. I can only go by hooking my amp up to my friends pair of LMS-R 12's in his Explorer and watch that Ford nearly come apart with so much percision, accuracy, no distortion, super ultra deep lows, and SPL that would blow your mind. I even had, which unfortunately is now my ex girlfriend, do the hair trick in the Explorer with the two 12's and my 3000wrms amplifier.

Item(s) Description/Condition:
BNIB. These have never been powered up or anything. I was thinking of running a temporary box by using my 40 part of my 40/60 rear bench seat, but I just dont want to turn my truck into a 4 person truck. I already have a center console so the front is already a 2 seater. So I will be going with some SA-8 V2's once I get these sold.

I have taken out the subwoofers to take ACTUAL pictures. I have also assembled the top and bottom assemblies so everyone knows what they are dealing with. I have not powered these up, so they are considered BNIB, straight from TC Sounds.

Currently my truck is in pieces so I dont even have a way to put any power to these subs anyway. Trust me, I have been itching to build a box just to hear what these things can do in my truck. All I can go by, is what I heard from my friends Explorer with two of these same 12's in his Explorer with 2500wrms in a 3 cu ft box tuned to 28hz and it absolutely just murdered the lows like I have never heard before. I just wish I had a Tahoe, like I have been wanting for the past couple of years, so I could just throw these in a 30hz tuned ported box and let these wang, but I just simply dont have the room.

Price:

Price from partsexpress.com has them at $369.05 each plus shipping.

I am willing to let these go for $340 shipped each to your home. I won't break these up unless I have two committed buyers, then I will split the two up.

So for the pair I will do $660 shipped.

The magnet weighs in at 30.5 pounds. I had to test this out by taking it to my scale and weighing just the magnets themselves. Total overall weight of just one subwoofer is 38.5 pounds. With the packaging and subwoofer, we are looking at 40 pounds. I will ship these however you prefer. If you prefer to have them shipped as TC Sounds shipped them; upper assembly in one box and the bottom 30.5 pound magnet in another box or I can ship each subwoofer ASSEMBLED in one box.

Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:

Price includes shipping, which will cost me about $40-60 to ship EACH since these weigh in at 40 pounds packed. They come with TC Sounds warranty

I'd prefer local pick up since these are so heavy and costly to ship, but I have everything to ship these in since I still have the boxes that the top and bottom assemblies came in with. I just took them out for pictures.

I just want to say.... THIS IS HOW YOU ******* SELL ****! Stacked this thread up with pictures of everything imaginable for these woofers, and that's what I like to see in a seller. I hope you sell these quick, but at over $6,000 for the pair, it's gonna be hard to get some offers in...
These TC subs are gorgeous and I've only hear great things from them, plus, they come from San Diego, so that makes them awesome.

No way in hell I am cutting up my truvk that im paying $38,900 for before interest. Plus, I will eventually trade the truck in later down the rfor a new 4WD 2012 Yukon SLT. Too bad I don't have the SUV now or these subs would already be in my Yukon

Um 'cause you said this

Im almost tempted to cut my $40k truck and do a blow-thru with these.

I would totally throw the box on top of the back seat before cutting into the body metal compromising the trucks durability/safety. Plus, your subs would be easily jackable in the bed. Plus, weather could affect them terribly.

Put amp under seat.. have speaker wire coming up the back.. You know you're gonna be giving 3 people a ride? Bam, make them unplug 2 wires out the enclosures terminal and lift the box out and put it in your garage or in the bed.

Easy as cake and you get extreme wangage in a pickup. I know it only takes me no more than 25 seconds to unplug the speaker wire and lift my box out of the trunk.

You're the driver of the truck who paid 40k for it. Why should YOU suffer with no bass

I said I was tempted to do a blow-thru, but I was being sarcastic. I wouldnt do that to this truck. Now if this was a bought for truck, as in Im still not making payments on it, and it was older, then yes, I would be tempted to do a blow-thru.

There are much better options out there for me than going with these 12's. Thats why I am going to go with 4 SA-8 Version 2's. Unfortunately, they wont be shipped out till March or April, so I will have to wait, but that atleast makes me take my time on building a box with patience and actually do it right.

And I'm not suffering because I bought the truck. I want to be able to haul my friends in with a box under the seat. Like I said, I want a new Yukon or a Tahoe, preferably a Yukon. Then I'll for sure go out and buy a pair of these subs and throw them in a ported box.

So!! Since I want a Yukon.....
If anyone is interested in buying my truck, let me know! Its a gorgeous truck with a Denali exterior conversion I did. No more chrome front and rear bumper.

Fully loaded Texas Edition, which is the same as the Regional Value Package which includes things like 20" wheels, black Leather, Traction Control, Stabilitrac, Heavy Duty towing package (which includes transmission cooler, external engine cooler, electric fan instead of a clutch fan), painted to match door handles and mirrors, Center Console with storage, Front bucket leather seats, AZ-Lift Tailgate Package, Convenience Package (6 way adjustable driver and passenger side, dual zone climate control, steering wheel audio controls, locking rear differential, fog lamps, and the 5.3l Flex Fuel engine) plus it has the SLE Preferred Package (power adjustable pedals, power heated and power fold in mirrors, Z82 Sport Performance Suspension Package, 3.73 gears, theft deterant, CD/MP3 player with auxiliary port, Rear Backup Assist with sonar sensors that have 3 lights in the rear with beep assist, and others I can't think of. Here are some pics of the truck... with before and after. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/car-interior-exterior-enhancements/534962-2008-gmc-sierra-1500-sle2-converted-denali.html

But anyway, back on topic...

Like I said, my paypal address is jessesampson@ yahoo.com dont forget to take out the space between the @ and the yahoo. For some reason, the forums wants to add in a mention to link to a member of the name of "Yahoo"
So TooShort, if you are committed, then shoot over the funds and I'll let TaylorFade know that you purchased it so he can send the funds.

Surprised no one wants to buy both of these. These are also ideal for a bad *** home theater setup.

I am running a single LMS-R and its just a great great sub

Sound quailty is top notch and when you want it to, the sub will absloulty destroy low notes.

I had the sub in 2 cubes @ 35hz and it was slamming. I tried a 1.25 cube ported box and it gets almost as loud but has much better sound quailty.

I was lucky enough to buy mine when Partsexpress was having a sale.

Thanks for your input on these subs. However the more and more I hear from everyone about how bad *** these are, I want to keep them and figure out a way to run these in my truck.

Im already doing a fiberglass enclosure and a 3 inch lift. I read that these like smaller boxes anyway, so I think that putting these in a 3 cu ft box would sound awesome. Might even be a toss up between two LMSR 12's, 4 SA-8's V2's (which wont ship out for another couple of months) and my other idea, 4 RE SE 10's ported.

And they would all be tuned to 30hz. I like that deep low extension. Especially if I were to go with the LMS-R. The SA-8's want a 30hz tuning also. The RE SE's want around 33hz I think

LMS tech. Looks ugly but make for very low distortion and very liear output at any power level.

Personally I wouldn't run more than 1200W per sub continuous. They'll take more but 3" LMS coils get stinky quick beyond that. That being said you don't need more power than that to get enormous output below 35hz.

Yeah, aside from being LMS coils, the blackness is just from the curing process... Or so I'm told. Could be that they use a different varnish now too.

Its from their new baking process. They also switched up the coil material for lower distortion, as mentioned above. There are many factors that come in to play on why on a few TC lines have black coils. Kyle over at TC Sounds answered a question that was the exact same one as yours, in the TCSounds message board, but I cant find the question and answer

Here is what is new with the LMS-R. Couple of these new features are why the coils appear to be black.

Lower distortion stainless steel formers on all drivers*
REVO gets replaced with the LMS-R that uses a new 6-layer LMS coil.*
New shorting rings for TC9, 4HP and 3HP motors (LMS-R, 5400 and Axis)
New detachable feature for all drivers (expect epic) New detach feature is much more accurate than older methods.
Drivers with the detach feature get shipped in two boxes to ensure trouble/damage free shipping

Regarding the color of the coils, discoloration is normal, and uneven color on the voicecoil is a result of the manufacturing backing (He meant "baking") process of the voicecoils. Discoloration actually means that they were backed at a relatively high temperature, which ensure that no out-gassing will occur later.

Ah come on guys. Two people committed; one is short on money by a hair and the other hasn't been on since he committed to it.

These are awesome subs. Would be absolutely insane if you wanted to do a home theater system as these dive down LOW.

Works great in ported and sealed boxes.

Works great in small to medium size boxes. 1.25 - 2.5cuft of airspace per 12 ported

PM'd

Very odd that everyone seems to be interested in this sub individually instead of wanting the pair. I have always found it harder to move a brand new single sub than a pair. Most people want a pair.

So it looks like I have a guy committed. "It Happens" will be sending over the funds at the end of the week so if anyone wants the other one, let me know. The second sub is ready to be purchased and shipped.

However, if I get money in my paypal account for both subs from one buyer before the end of the week, I will be sending those out, but otherwise, the first one is spoken for till the end of the week.

So c'mon guys. Great price for some bad *** subs that will destroy the lows like none other. Great for Home Theater use also. Super low distortion and dives down into the teens if needed. I have alot of interested people, but alot seem to be short on cash at the moment. Very sought after subs. These wont disappoint if you are looking for that super low frequency responses, low distortion, and can take some power. Works great in sealed and ported enclosures.

Im sure you wont back out brutha, hence why I said one was already spoken for; meaning yours is. I just need to be able to move the other subwoofer is all. I cant be stuck with one LMS-R 12. Its yours. Just trying to get the other one sold. Yours is spoken for unless someone wants to come in and buy both, but from how things have been on in this thread and all of the PM's I have received, it looks like everyone is just wanting one each. So you should be set. I would actually lose money if I sold these together since I am offering a discount to sell these two subs as a pair. Like I said, I just dont want to be stuck with just one LMS-R that I will need to move. I can feel that once I sell one, someone on the board will PM me or hit me up for the pair when I already have one sold. Its just my luck. LOL

So everyone, I have one LMS-R 12 still up for grabs! Never seen power. Only took it out of the box to take pictures of how it was shipped; top assembly in one box and bottom assembly (motor) in another box, then with pictures of it assembled. It will cost me quite a bit more to ship these like they were shipped to me straight from TC Sounds in San Diego, rather than ship the subwoofer assembled. Its just cheaper to send one box versus two boxes.

Wish I didnt have my electrical, my amps removed, center console and rear seats removed out of my truck and a box to put these in so I could feed these some power to test them out and see what kind of super low frequency damage a pair of these would do.

Had alot of interest in these subs, but no one has came through. Had a guy said he was going to buy it at the end of the week last week once he got the money, but havent heard from him after sending him a couple of emails. So alot of interest from the thread and PM's, but I still haven't received any payments.

So like I said, I am willing to trade towards an H.O. alternator for my truck and/or batteries. Im also willing to take offers, but no low ball offers please. I know how much I paid for them and they are BNIB and have never seen power nor have they been in box.
