Hello everyone, been tryin to wrap my head around this for a few weeks.
I have a single 10W6V2 powered by a JL 750/1. Sub is currently in a custom built box from a local audio shop and I hate it.
Winisd shows recommended box at 2.388cf and port freq at 23.34
I am limited on height and depth but have plenty of room on width.
12h x 11d x 28+ width
Also Winisd not showing me port velocity? I am limited to 12h on box height so port height would be
10.5h x port width? x port length?

win ids doesn't work on macs, so i don't have it. however i think you entered something incorrectly, 23hz is way too low to tune to, at least for any practical applications. Also, what type of music do you listen to and what are looking for out of this set up?

A better place to start is by posting the specs on the enclosure build by the shop and what exactly you feel it is lacking.
Then we could use that and figure out how to help you rebuild the enclosure to get your desired response.

I listen to a variety of music, Reggae, classical, jazz, R&B, and everything in between.
The box built by local shop is 11x11x16 sealed. It sounds like your taking a hammer and smacking it on a piece of wood.
I went from using a 10" MTX thunderform plastic molded box 1.10cf, I liked the way it sounded, just wanted more of it.
so I switched to JL 750/1 and a 10W6v2.
The 10w6 is a larger sub in a smaller box? I dont get it.
I think I would like to try a ported enclosure.

If you just want to try it, build a JL spec enclosure and see how that works.
From what I have heard from most though, their design lacks a little and can be improved on, but it is a decent starting point.

Thank you for the suggestion.
Box I am currently using is similar to the sealed JL box, which I believe is a little too small. So I am thinking thier ported box would also be on the small side @ .75 cf
Anyone selling box designs?
