Couple suggestions just to clean up your designs a bit:

1. When you have the circle tool selected type in a number like "64" and hit enter, this sets how many sides a circle will have and makes the mounting holes look more smooth

2. Select unwanted lines, right click and goto "hide" so you don't see them...for example your sa-12 box -- you can use this method to get rid of those lines at the bottom of the baffle

Other than that looks good :thumbsup:

Hey, your OCD doesn't determine the sound of my boxes :P

I'll definitely keep that in mind though. Some people concentrate on making the boxes so purty in sketchup...I don't see a point, as long as the box is easily understandable. But I do appreciate it sir.

In most cases it wouldn't matter. I've never really had an issue with port noise. Just gotta design them correctly.

Buck, Im going to get some dimensions soon and PM you. I want to go as loud as possible in my trunk, and Im not sure how to do it. My car is TINY and Im going to have to build the box in the trunk. Right now Im running a SAZ 3k at .67 with the gains set to about 2000RMS on 3 v1 SA 8s in a box tuned to 33hz. I did a 137.5 sealed up on the TL, but I want to do a 143+ if possible.. I have plenty of power, I just dont have space.

I have about 5 cubes to work with max.. I was thinking either 4 10s, or 2 (maybe 3?) super beefy 12s.

Designing this box reminds me of the saying "fat guy in a little coat." Trying to work around my limits, I think I got it better this time. Not sure if this is finalized or not. Moar port area in front, straighter ports, less port area in the rear, little higher front chamber tuning. Really glad I got more port area in the front. That was my main goal.

Any chance you would share the external dimensions on this? I have 2 VVX 12's I want to put in the trunk of a GS430 and want to see if it will fit right behind the seat.

Depends on the application, but overall, if you are stressing to go with 45's or not, won't matter that much.

45's help when you're chasing tenths on the meter, and they can also help to reduce some of those random resonances you get with some setups...but most of the time you won't really hear a difference.

since you're building inside, without screws...be sure to use plenty of glue. Maybe put the L-bracket on the side piece first. Then when you go to screw it to the bottom panel it will kind of pull it down and put some force on it (if that makes any sense lol)

look into getting a pocket hole jig, can be found at home depot or lowes. When i built my last wall inside my truck it came in very handy. It will help you screw the sides to the bottom from the inside easily.

This is a daily set up...low deep bass..Vehicle is a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta...unfortunately i don't have dimensions with me. Ideally id like it ported through the cabin. Only options would be through rear deck or fold down seats. No armrest :(

decided not to go with the slot and did 2 3 inch round ports firing off the side doors and panel . this one had 4 vfl 8's in it at 34 hertz not bad ,but i'm gonna do another one and try to get more area .want it to hit the lows a bit better .

shoot a box design for 3 alpine type r's the new brand... goin in the back of my dodge ram 1500 2005 .... the box i have right now is like 24x28x65 all the way across my back seat chambered off and firing up with the port on the bottom facing the front....

How many cubes is this box, and also, I want this almost exact same wall, but with zv3 15s. WShat do you think??? I also waNT TO PUT IT IN MY 4 DOOR 1997 CADILLAC SEVILLE. But i want to be able to have bucket seats in the back, so the wall couldnt bee too deep at the top, it would have to taper down with the rear winsheild line, You understand??? I have already cut out almost the entire rear deck and all the metal and shitt, so do you se where im going with this??? I need the back of the box to have a slant. We can extend the back of thebox into the trunk if need be. just save a loittle room for amps
